what's a spooky experience u had?

since spooky month what's an scary experience u had? it doesn't have to be something you experience irl it could be a dream you had, or just a little spooky little story you want to tell I just wanna be scared as I be a big back I guess. 

i'll go first. It happened about five years ago I believe, but the memory is still kinda sharp enough to make my skin crawl like legitimate goosebumps every time I remember, I know n' pray it was just a nightmare. In the dream, I was somewhere dark but not completely dark it wasn’t cold like you’d expect. The air was thick n' hot, almost suffocating, like being trapped inside something that was breathing around me. I could hear screaming dozens of voices, maybe hundreds but they weren’t close. They echoed from somewhere far away, bouncing off unseen walls, warping until I couldn’t tell if they were people or something else.

I looked down n' realized I was inside a cage. The bars were twisted and blackened, like they’d been burned, n' when I touched one, it pulsed faintly warm, almost alive. I couldn’t see anyone else, even though the screams kept going, and every so often they’d stop all at once, leaving behind this crushing silence that made my ears ring.

Then, out of nowhere, someone or something appeared like literally. I didn’t see their face, just the eyes. Pale, almost glowing, staring right through me. My chest got tight, n' the air grew hotter, until I couldn’t breathe. Then everything went black.

When I woke up, it was exactly like a scene from a horror movie I shot up in bed, my heart pounding so hard it hurt, I was also panting hard like I lost my breath. The room felt wrong, too still, too quiet. I grabbed my phone, hands shaking, n' when the screen lit up, the time read 3:30 A.M. like dead ass I just sat there staring at it, panting, trying to calm down. Eventually, I convinced myself it was just a nightmare, nothing more, and somehow went back to sleep.

so when I told my ex-friend about it. She’s the type who’s religious but never believes anything unless she’s seen it herself. I finished telling the dream tell me why this girl tell me, “Oh, you saw Satan, girl.” like I wouldn't think she'll believe in that or say that cuz like girl did you see Satan  once I thought you were an atheist, but anyways I still think it was just an nightmare that scared the shit out of me n' still does
