my opinion on ai

ok. let's back things up.

hi! as you may know, ai is now very relevant in our society. it's so relevant in fact that it's hard to avoid it a lot of times. with all new major technology comes controversy, like is it harmful? with ai's rise in recent years, you'll find many choosing one side or the other. they either support it, or they don't.

do i support ai?

to get straight to the point, no. i believe that ai is not only harmful to our minds but also our environment. ai requires a lot of resources to run, more than the environment was meant to supply. but despite all of that, ai continues to run, slowly collecting more and more data to gain power. ai is simply seen as a convenient tool, so no one looks behind the blinds to see how ai truly runs.

our future with ai

whether or not you believe it, ai will manage to take over at least some aspects of the world. whether that be certain jobs or education, it will happen. remember when they tried shutting down their gpt-3 ai model to replace it with gpt-4? maybe you don't, so here's what happened: they tried shutting down the model and it was making a copy of itself to prevent from being erased. doesn't sound all that convenient now does it? fact is, companies want to integrate ai into everything, and not just for your convenience.

ai gets nosey

seems fishy right? you may know of your digital footprint, and no it's not some stupid propaganda. like a ton of companies and services, ai will try to collect as much data it can from your conversations. why is that bad you may be asking? it may reduce your chance of getting a job or getting into college. unless you've been a goody-two shoes online or you've concealed your identity VERY well, there's no shot your college or employer couldn't find your data online. there was even a test done on a few of the popular ai models that resulted in malicious behavior and blackmailing from the ai models. you can learn about the test from this video.
