its a whole process lol, but to simplify it, i kind of just make a sketch of whatever i want to turn into a mosaic and then i break it up into a bunch of pieces, so like any big shapes get split apart, then i color on top of the sketch in either procreate or photoshop :))
not sure if this was a rhetorical question or not but i thought i'd answer anyways :D

May I ask what you use (for digital art) and if your looking for new I would try kreska!
i switch back and forth between procreate and photoshop :)

Oh that’s suuuper kewl! I used to use procreate but I had issues, I use ibispaint, kleki, Freeform, & kreska (mainly Freeform rn)
