YOUCH
Im in a.w orld of pain.
Its better since ive distracted myself with my labtop but it was really bad earlier. I took a tylenol with my required medicine cuz my dad says thats ok. I should probably warm up my heating pads that ive been putting on my face cuz theyre cooling right now. I felt fine after I took a nap this morning after the wisdom teeth surgery but after I went to bed at midnight, I got my shit fucked up.
It feels like my cheeks have gashes in either side where my wisdom teeth are supposed to be. i'm not sleeping tonight :'(

i've had my wisdom teeth removed. here's some tips:
cold compress for the first 8-12 hours. brings down the swelling. after that, alternating between cold and heat is a good idea.
take a tylenol every 6 hours. even if you aren't in pain. you do not want the pain to have a chance to sneak in.
you had the actual surgery, didn't just have them pulled, right? so you have the stitches and everything? if that's the case, you shouldn't have to worry about dry socket. even so, avoid eating hot foods for a while. lukewarm is alright. also, no solids for about a week. but i'm sure you know that or want to avoid them anyway because of the pain. no spicy foods. don't use straws or anything you need to suck on. suction could dislodge any clots that are forming in the sockets.
ice cream, popsicles, even just ice cubes. life savers.
avoid caffeine, it makes the healing process take longer.
oh my goodness thank you so much! I had a lot of caffeine yesterday, that could've been part of the problem. Not gonna make that mistake again T-T

good luck! as long as you're careful healing shouldn't take too long. the top ones should heal quicker than the bottom ones. did they give you any medicated mouthwash or anything? if not, starting 48 hours after the surgery you can (very gently) swish salt water twice a day to keep the wounds clean. also starting after 48 hours (very gently as well) brush your teeth and around the wounds (but don't touch them directly). after 4 or 5 days they should be healed enough to not worry as much about directly touching them, but of course you'll still want to be careful. if there's any pain or discomfort, especially if you get a bad sore throat, swelling, or fever, immediately contact your dentist or doctor. that could be sign of infection. it isn't common so don't worry! just be aware.

I remember them saying something about swishing water but not salt water, I'll have to try that
again thank you for all the help! It's gonna make my life a lot easier
