a stressful weekend

i'm at the library right now while my apartment tests fire alarms and checks in-unit sprinklers. which means i had to spend 2 days doing a deep clean of the entire place, hiring a catsitter, and hiding any cat paraphernalia that i own, just so my landlord doesn't find out i've been hiding a cat in my strictly NO PETS apartment.

on tuesday i had absolutely no idea where i was going to take my cat for the 4 hours they said they'd be testing, but thankfully the person who i was trying to hire to catsit got back to me the next day so she's there currently. i have a small window of time from the time i bring her back to when i have to leave for work (probably around 20 minutes?) to take all her stuff back out and make sure she'll be alright before i have to leave. i'm incredibly anxious about bringing her back since 1. i don't want anyone seeing her, and 2. its so close to when the fire alarm testing is finishing i keep thinking that i'll bring her up to my room and a maintenance guy will just be in my unit. i've done it before when i originally brought her into the unit, but that was late at night. this is mid-afternoon. oh well, i can take my sweet time. for like 20 minutes at least.
