i rlly need 2 just pay attention to my subscriptions page more, i hate youtubers that so obviously make vids for a paycheck but try to hide it in the worst way possible, it dives me nutss u have no passion no soul u just put endless sponsorships and filler like ooohh my godd its so patronizing.
every since i quit social media i've been getting videos with titles "fix your brain rot" "digital cleanse for gen z" etc, or bland thumbnails with some performative pretty boys looking like sarcastically distraught with pngs floating around them whos favorite sentence is probably "we are cooked". it all feels disingenuous and capitalistic.
i wanna find more channels that feel real, like people are just uploading just for the hell of it or just want to genuinely share something, not caring about trying to desperately grab your attention but just having fun instead. those are the channels i need to watch
also get real jobs ya bums lololol

Video essay trend and having the same opinion all over again just sucks. Anything for the trend which made the internet more dead than alive. I feel you and we need YouTubers who make anything for fun. Maybe you can watch underrated indie animations like Monkey Wrench. It's a fun show! Despite the slop that people create, some others out there who create masterpieces of art. ^w^

yesss. i barely watch youtube now because i hate seeing when a person who hasnt posted in like 3 months finally posts and within the first few minutes they throw in a 2 minute long sponsorship. like its so obvious casue they alwaysss got sponsorships when the upload. personally, i LOVE benoftheweek on youtube. he is so random and its literally him going out and having fun. he's one of the only youtubers i can watch without being annoyed by dead energy.

i was on youtube for ten years straight (never just for the money since i’m 17 now) i made my own content for that whole time and eventually i just couldn’t fucking bare the platform itself. they got rid of every freedom to post, they got rid of dislikes, they took control of the advertising, the whole platform became a toxic wasteland of pure fucking slop. i physically cant even bring myself to watch half the shit on there cause its so lazy and repetitive that it feels like a shit parody of 1984.
my hatred for youtube and its cOntEnT cREaToRs will never fade away, ever
oh lord dont even get me started on the phrase "content creator", that and "consuming media" just sound so wrong and lifeless good god
