Abortion should be legal because every person deserves the right to make decisions about their own body and future. Forcing someone to continue an unwanted or unsafe pregnancy can harm their health, education, and overall well-being. It’s also unfair that society often judges women for getting pregnant but then criticizes them again for choosing abortion—showing clear double standards. People should have the freedom to decide what’s best for their lives without being shamed or controlled by others’ beliefs.
Abortion SHOULD be legal, in any cases.

Taking a life is horrid in general. And if you've seen what they do to the babies in the womb. Would you like your arms and legs ripped off? And your neck torn apart from your head? Would you like to basically be vacuumed up. That life can feel every bit of that pain, pain you couldn't ever imagine. Watch an abortion and see the horrificness of such thing.

yes the woman should have control over her body, but that doesnt entitle her to take away and innocent life. i 100% understand that an unxpected pregnancy makes life very hard but its better if your lifes harder than if an another's is gone.

i understand that there are millions of kids in the foster care system(not so much orphans as their parents didnt want them) and i also understand that the foster care system is shitty,but at least the have more of a chance than if you murder them.

Crazy that people are arguing about it on this specific site-- a site made up of pronominally alternative people. Why are people so disturbed about women having the choice of what to do with their body and even going to the extent of calling women who have had, want to have--or support abortion wh*res? Sex is a natural thing programmed into humans and yes, there are contraceptives available , BUT contraceptives aren't affective 100%, which means that as a society we have to stop shaming people for terminating a pregnancy that is going to have a major impact on the individuals physical and mental health.

men should be allowed to walk out on the woman if they don't want to take care of a kid, then. they chose to have sex with the woman just like the woman did. yet they get shamed for not wanting the kid. they can't abort it so the only thing they can do is leave.
Men should be held accountable for their actions. yes both people were required to produce a fertilized egg, but the ♂️ doesnt have to carry the fetus for 9 months nor does he have to go through the pain of birthing the child.
both people did the deed so both should be held responsible. if you do not want a kid find someone with a like mind or use contraception such as a condom or if the ♀️ is ok with taking a plan b, buy her one.
At the end of the day it is the ♀️ choice whether or not to bring a conscious being into our worldline

you were young and dumb, not thinking about how your current actions may affect your future. This is deadly to ones successfulness and worrysome, sometimes even harmfull to those around you. not only have you made a personal problem but you made it the peoples around you aswell.
even if you arent a teen and you are simply wanting a kid with your partner, GO TO THERAPY. Sort out your issues/trauma (before conceiving) whatever it may be, so you dont reflect the negative into your very impressionable child.
Systematic issues:
Lets just say it. The billionaires have to much in their pockets, when families are out here struggling to make ends meet. These are real peoples life's who dont deserve to live in such struggle and poverty, despite their poor life choices (children are caught in the midst). At the end of the book it is the governments fault people live in poverty, it is the governments fault that often children of struggle will repeat the cycle their parents did,
it is the governments fault that you are uneducated.
if they put more into the people instead of their pocket we wouldnt have to educate people on the RIGHTS of LIVING human beings. at the end of the day every debate over human rights is simply a money grab for the rich and a struggle for the people.

I agree with this so much. I think it's sad that we have even gotten to the point of discussing if this should be a right or not. I think the answer is obvious but sadly not everyone seem to be getting it.
Too many people seem to be believing a fetus is conscious and feel pain which it only does if it's developed enough but most won't wait that long and if an abortion does happen late, it was most likely wanted.
It truly saddens me when pregnancy is treated as just being bigger and birth like taking a hard shit. It's way harder on the body than that and not to mention what it does to you mentally. It's dangerous! We know how hard this is on people who actually wants to have a baby but what about those who doesn't? I don't think it's worth forcing people to give birth as it could destroy them in all ways possible and some may end their life since they just weren't built for it. I hate the argument that "you could just let somebody adopt the baby". There are already enough kids in foster homes who never gets adopted plus why let somebody suffer so horribly just so the kid could be born and completely miserable as well. There is no point! And banning abortion is only gonna result in more unsafe abortions instead. There is no win. I'm so thankful for living in sweden where abortion is legal. Sure, we aren't perfect with care here but it's at least better when compared to some other countries.

The man and woman should talk with eachother. Having a kid means heavy responsibilities, so the man should be able to provide those needs. If the woman insists on having an abortion, ultimately it's her choice.
