hello !!
this is my first post but I wanted to share a pet project I have underway. until recently I've only software modded consoles, and this would be my first hardware modification:
I plan to put a USB-C port on my beloved 3ds from when I was younger. I know it's risky but I just feel like I need to do this. I don't know what compels me. my excuse is that this can go on my resume as a project, but really I just need more timber for the modding fire inside of me. that's the best I can explain it. below is the mobo. either it lives or it dies with honor. wish it luck this monday..

it's less complicated than you would think (which is why I believe I can do it lol). you have to solder only 2 contacts from the original charging port and they communicate through a positive and a negative wire. all I need is to wait for my USB-C board to arrive this weekend and for a slot to open at my school's workshop this monday

hrmm like until this weekend. I realize I need to order flux too which is probably better than just rawdogging my first serious solder
