My first blog post

I am a 2nd year student at Rice University majoring in biochemistry, so my blogs may contain some studying tips, realizations, and musings on science. One's thats interesting is that according to the primordial soup theory, biomolecules and life itself evolved from an abiotic early earth, it had just the right conditions to support and create life. Yet as we explore our universe we come across other earth like planets that may have gone through a similar early phase, by this theory those planets are likely to have life! I wonder what other life looks like, do they still do DNA/RNA or are there other more thermodynamically favorable and resourceful biomolecules that do the same thing as our earthly molecules. Who knows?
