lately, i've been consuming a lot of media and found something outstanding. at first i didn't quite grasp this concept until i dug further. then i struck gold!! "DO IT FOR THE PLOT". it didn't occur to me how prevalent this was in today's culture. i learned that a lot of people don't find their lives interesting enough, so they purposely sabotage themselves to "thicken the plot." now at first this seemed like a silly little concept, but it has a very dark core. people always need something new to keep themselves entertained. if's it's not celebrity gossip, its shit talking becky that lives down the street. eventually, people run out of entertainment, so they decide to turn it up the notch. ok i'm gonna stop yapping now but moral of the story is it's okay to be bored. you don't need new twists and turns. embrace the boredom, cause one day, you're gonna miss it ( head ahh 😂). no but on a real note, stop seeking thrill and bask in the silence for a bit.

The truth is, I don't understand people who reject a period of complete tranquility. I'm currently in one, and have been for months. I hope it never ends because whenever something "interesting" happens, it always ends badly. Obviously, I've had happy moments these past few months, and I love them, but I'm not forcing myself to have "adventures"

Girl I feel you, sometimes I think we do the worst choice while we are bored. Like, hanging out with people we should not hang with or doing something that we regret later lmao. As someone said, "Is more dangerous being bored than being crazy".

yeah that's true, we (as a big part of society) really forgot how it's actually pretty cool to be bored, i'm kinda scared for the newer generations because they're really going to grow up without knowing boredom and that's definitely going to affect them
But for this particular phrase I thankfully also saw people use it as the new YOLO so that's pretty cool! I hope they spread this version of the message more!!

i feel like a lot of people are always chasing instead of taking a moment to live in the moment their already in. life passes them by and there was nothing to look back on. i agree, we need to take a step back, stare at a wall for a bit, and breathe
