So something weird happened

One of the irl people who I thought I was friends with but I realized didn't actually like me, is talking to me again. It's really weird. They cut me off, and now they're talking to me again. They still have all tehri old friends, but now they're talking to me again. I'm a little suspicious in case they want something out of me.

I don't know if it's that or they genuinely want to talk to me. It's freaking me out and I don't know what to do. I've put my guard up and am trying not to get too close again, but it's difficult when they're acting this nice and remorseful. It almost seems sincere but something in their eyes tells me that they're trying to get something out of me.

What do I do, do I become friends with them again, or do I wait and see what happens, or do I cut them off again?

I'm very confused, this hasn't happened to me before where someone cuts off a friendship and then comes back to me.
