HII EVERYONE!!! hows everyone doing??? im gr8 thanks for asking

in this blog entry im going to be going over and rating all the furry visual novels that ive read (im not a big reader so theres not many of them oops..) anyways LETS START!!!!

(btw nsfw content alert!! if youre not a fan of that then im sorry you might not like this blog entry ><)

(ALSO!!!!!!! SPOILER ALERT FOR ALL THESE VNS!!!!!!!! sorry but im going to be spoling some stuff hope you dont mind)

1 - ADASTRA

adastra is a vn where you're pretty much abducted by furry aliens to be some kind of pet/trophy wife to their stupid himbo leader thats going agaisnt his fascist brother in a political battle. Its a pretty long vn and it has a super fun story, with a lot of warm cozy moments as well as some pretty intense drama happening all the while.

for starters i really like how the narrative portrays amicus as a politician, always taking the chance to address how hes definetly not the ideal leader and all the flaws in his mentality regarding the poverty in his country while hes swimming in riches. the storytelling, while not superb is still really good!! and even though amicus is not a great boyfriend, hes still a charming character, and the game definetly takes that into account.

the art is awesome!! the characters are well designed and the animals reflect very well their personalities and background, and kudos for hand-making all the backgrounds!! i dont mind having real images as backgrounds in these kinds of vns, but the team deserves props for taking the time to make sure their game is well polished in these aspects

i would also like to talk about how awesome the whole worldbuilding in this vn is, the way adastra and all the other nations are parallels to earth's ancient nations is super cool, and the fact that were getting a sequel in one of these planets???? oh my god i NEED it

overall, im giving Adastra a 9/10, a 8/10 for the art, and a 10/10 for the story, for my first vn, it set up the bar super high!! i definetly reccomend it!!

2 - Rain Check

Rain check is a thriller vn where you play as theodore, a boyfailure tiger that finds himself in an entirely different city where he meets a cool wolf agent who gets him in the middle of a secret investigation with a whole bunch of messed stuff in it. even though its still in development, i would definetly reccomend rain check!! specially considering how the story is pretty much finished, and the devs are mainly focusing on polishing the game's art (i think?? idk dont quote me on that)

i'd like to start by saying how much i absolutely LOVE rain check's story, its super captivating and reading it was super fun!! i was always anxious to see the next chapter whenever i finished one!! that being said. the game's storyline falls weirdly out of line while approaching the end, Rou's amnesia was totally unnecessary, and while i do understand it was needed for theodore's character to develop a bit and gain some sense of self in the middle of the huge fiasco he got in, i feel like there were other ways to do so. i also think that rou's amnesia got fixed way too quickly??? the way he just fled the hospital and went to save theodore from a BURNING BUILDING like some kind of spider sense got to him kinda ruined everything for me, and while on the topic of burning buildings, can i just say how stupid of an ending that was??? to make this entire buildup, SPECIALLY DURING THE SPEAKEASY, just to end everything like that by putting the blame on lawrence or whatever his name was?? ALSO!!! THE WAY MISS MAYOR LIONESS JUST APPEARED WITH A WHOLE-ASS SPRITE TO GIVE US 3 LINES OF DIALOGUE AND THEN LEAVE FOREVER????? WHAT?????????? this is not okay.

now onto the art of Rain check-- its not bad?? but i feel like its still lacking, but like i said earlier: the vn is still under development and i believe rou's and javier's sprites are all sketches and still need to be finished. that being said, i hate rou's rhombus head with a passion. i know im meant to like him and find him at least a little bit attractive considering hes the only romantic interest in the game and 90% of the nsfw scenes involve him, but HES SO UGLYYYYYY UUUGHHH 😭😭😭😭😭 I also dislike the game's main screen art (the one right above this text), theodore's face looks super weird on there, and the perspective is all messed up 💔💔 i dont mean to be a hater but radcanine is a great artist and could definetly do better than this if he had the feedback he needed. the main characters all look a bit funky (specially rou) (ALSO THAT WEIRD ASS INTEL MANAGER AT THE CAFE???? OMG HES WONKY AS HELL EW EW EW)  but to compensate, lawrence, the evil lion mob boss, his lackeys and the lion lady are all super pretty!!!!!!

overall im giving rain check an 8/10, an 6/10 for the art, and a 8/10 for the story (would be a 10/10 but the ending threw it off for me) also +1 point in the overall grade cuz its still in development and all that :v

3 - Where The Demon Lurks

let me just start by saying that THIS VN IS ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE IT SO MUCH OH MY GOD!!!! i was literally skipping classes to read it omg (dont do that btw) wtdl follows the story of Kobu, the demon lord of the underworld who couldnt give a lesser fuck about his job and wants to leave all his responsabilities aside to play videogames and eat snacks because of his inferiority complex and his pain-in-the-ass right hand man who turns out to be a villain who tries to murder him and accidentally sends him to earth!! which turned out being super great for him bc now kobu can enjoy his life as a store clerk that spends half his monthly salary on p2w mmo gear and dinners with his super fruity best friend until celestial beings and demons start nagging him to come back to hell.

the story is super awesome and i loved reading every single bit of dialogue from it!!! the characters are very well written and the premise is actually really interesting!! its pretty hard to get lost in the middle of the storyline because not only the worldbuilding (aside from being really interesting) is pretty simple, but the game also keeps track of every important name in a little notebook with descriptions of every little thing!! (written by kobu himself). the characters are super charming and really well designed, their interactions are really funny and the vn is great at keeping you grounded!! things may have gone a little too fast for me, but i still think its a great vn!!

the art is SUPERB!!! out of all the vns mentioned here, wtdl deserves the prize of best art, the sprites all capture the essence of the characters perfectly, and the cgs are BEAUTIFUL!!! theres not much to talk about in here because the game's art is THAT good ok...

i think the only thing that let me down in wtdl is how its still in development and i didnt know about it before downloading the vn (which is kind of my fault but it still hurt ok😭😭💔) you all have no idea how much it hurt in me when i saw the most interesting story arc suddenly get turned into a "vn finished!! please support our patreon and join our discord for more updates!" kind of screen....

overall, im giving wtdl a 10/10 so far, maybe 9/10 since its not finished but idk, the art is also a 10/10, and the story is super captivating, i wouldnt say its better than (the first half of) rain check but its still a 9/10!!

4 - deers and deckards

heres where it starts to get weird... deers and deckards is a nsfw romance vn where you choose between dating your roommate, his dad, or... both?? im all for poly relationships but i find it a bit weird for you to be dating your dad's boyfriend, or your son's boyfriend too, either way, its super weird.

the story is pretty weak, there are some wholesome moments where you need to choose the right dialogue to comfort your partner with their personal struggles, but all of that gets thrown away for the nsfw scenes, which are also pretty uncomfortable for me, as someone who doesnt enjoy non-con stuff at all.

the art is really nice...when you ignore the super exagerated proportions with the huge bulges everywhere. the backgrounds are also fully drawn! which isnt really something that helps with how this vn is going, but i think its worth noting.

there are multiple side stories in this vn, it gets pretty messy and wild in some of them, in the sense that the narrative suddenly switches to a thriller kind of story, where you and your roommate need to save the world from this super powerful mindcontrolling sex demon???? whatever man.

im giving deers and deckards a 4/10 overall, a 5/10 for the art and a 2/10 for the story. if you just want to jerk off then download it idc, but even for porn its a little weird for me,, sorry not sorry!!!

5 - DOG X BLOODS

dog x bloods is a chinese vn that follows the story of a nameless protagonist cursed with terrible luck. after a tragic accident a long time ago involving his parents death and an elevator, he meets a sly white fox who claims to be his "qian bei" (meaning senior or predecessor), i admit that i didnt really understand dog x bloods story very well, its one of those vns where you get to understand it the more you read it, but for my misfortune, only the first chapter was translated so far, and the studio behind it hasnt posted anything for a really long time now, meaning dog x bloods is probably an abandoned project

ASDFGHJKLÇQWERTP NOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I HATE THIS I HATE THIS I HATEEEE THISSSS UUGHHHHHHH💔💔💔💔💔 DOG X BLOODS ART IS SO NICE!!!!!!!!!!! i know its just a generic bara artstyle but i still find the characters pretty charming on their own 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺 the storyline, while a bit confusing, was still super fun to read!!! it makes me super sad that this vn is likely to never be continued!!!! i would die for a fan translation for the remaining chapters!!!!! ugghhhh T_T

overall im giving dog x bloods a 8/10, a 8/10 for the art, and a 7/10 for the story!! if anyone knows about a fan translation please hmu!!!!!!!! I NEED TO FINISH THIS VN!!!!! UHUHUOEOEDKODEKLPSSMKXDMFN

6 - Helward: A Tanuki Story

this one is cute!! helward is a romance vn where you play as a tanuki named howl, who travels through the country to meet with your long distance bf as a surprise!! its still under development but so far the story is super cute and sweet!!! even though its an nsfw vn, you can really feel how wholesome the whole thing is!! for a visual novel, the gameplay is surprisingly fun, i love how the scene leading up to howl getting to the restaurant goes!!! i have never seen anything like that in any of these vns!!! you can see the effort the devs put into the vn!! 

the worldbuilding is also really interesting!!! i really wish i could talk more about it but unfortunately the vn didnt have enough text to properly develop it. which is a shame because i'd say the worldbuilding goes as hard as Adastra's!!! i might have to remake this rating when the vn is complete in 10 years from now lol.

the art is AMAZING!!!!!! oh my god i dont even know where to start. like i said before, the vn is super dynamic for a visual NOVEL, there are panels showing up in your screen all the time, and the loading screens are super fun!! that and the backgrounds!!! which not only are all hand-drawn, but all beautiful!! i really like the aesthetic of this vn's world!! please check it out if you're able!!

im giving helward a 8/10 overall rating, 9/10 for the art, and a 8/10 for the story!! i think the only thing missing in this vn is *the entire vn* but other than that its a super chill and fun read!!! i cant wait to see what kind of mishaps await howl in the future!!!

anyways, that pretty much concludes today's blog entry!! im sorry if i made some typos btw!! its 1:57 am and english isnt my first language. also!! i know that this differs a lot from my usual content, and im sorry if the whole gay furry nsfw vn thing weirds out any of you, but its my guilty pleasure!!! i cant help it!!!! i hate reading books, and furry art in these vns hits different!! its pretty hard to find good looking sprites in the middle of these vns!! (either that or its the fact that i havent looked for non-furry vns at all..oops). anyways BYE!!!!!!!
