filming w camcorders rulezz

FILMING W CAMCORDERS RULEZZ!!!

I rlly love filming w classic camcorders!!!

I have this 2007 sony handycam that I got off of ebay and it always makes me feel so cool to shoot stuff with! Like, there's something super special to me abt holding a camcorder in one hand, while walking around and trying to get cool footage.

Because it doesn't require both hands to use effectively, when I'm filming w a camcorder, I always feel like I'm ready for adventure! Putting that little hand-strap on inspires movement, experimentation, and having fun!

(i kinda feel the same way abt pony-tails-- I rlly like having my hair back cus I feel like it makes me ready for anything!)

So the process of shooting on a camcorder is super exciting and invigorating, and then when I come back from shooting, my footage has that kindof classic look to it-- which I adore!

(watch my squirrel video for an example)

To me, camcorder footage always looks so personal and intimate, like a "home movie." When I look at other ppl's camcorder footage I always feel like im connecting w them more than if it was shot on anything else. And when I look back at my own footage, I rlly feel as though it encapsulates exactly how I was feeling in that moment.

love my cam!

tips for aspiring camcorderers

The exact model of my camcorder is the sony sr-82.

Admittedly, my handycam isn't exactly as "cool vinatage" as u can get. As compared to ones that shoot on like, tape and stuff. I mainly just got mine for its modern conveniences-- like the sony cameras released in 2007 r some of the only camcorders that both:

  1. shoot in standard definition
  2. can be plugged into modern computers

isn't that super cool!?

Someday I'd like to shoot on tape, but the means of getting quality taped footage onto modern computers is not a seamless process.

The easiest methods, like capture cards, cause lots of degradation to the video quality in ways that I personally don't find very charming. So if I get a tape camcorder, then I'll also want an old, "firewire" compatible, computer.

But yeah, anyways! If ur looking to film some stuff w camcorders, the sony sr series is a good place to start (just make sure they come w the docking station (you can't put the videos on ur computer without the dock)).

okay bye.

Totally agree with you, holding a camcoder feels like going to an adventure!

I love the past times when a grab mine camdoer and record documentaries of abandond hauses or just trips with my friends imagine adventures (I think the last one was related to Tails Doll creepypasta haha)

Your squirrel video captures all this yess

I don't know why, but old technology feels always more comfy and close, absolutley

I hope one time I recover my camera and maybe start recording again, if not, I have a Super8 kind of camera that make my eyes!

Older tech is always fun to use, I like the physicality and the mechanics of it, like I love my boombox that I put casettes into
