Band, Theater, and Trying to Not Look Like A Total Dork

There's not really any tips I CAN give to not seem like a dork. You just gotta own it! Yeah, I'm in a band. So what? I don't see YOU out marching in the front on the band during the parade and being cheered on for being totally awesome and cool and not because you're a girl with her thighs exposed!

I'm kidding. I'm not THAT mean or egotistical. But there is something serious I gotta say. Just own it. Seriously. You can't make everyone happy or like you and, sadly, there's a stigma towards band and theater kids and it's here to stay.

"Shouldn't people give us a chance?" Of course! But the sad truth is that not everyone will and we can't do anything about it! Just know that you aren't the only band kid or theater kid out there! Find your people and stick with 'em! Don't waste your life trying to make others happy! (^_^)/
