hello im writing a book... it takes place in the 90s (already amazing sign) at a Coloradan high school...
its called "dhxs" and it's actually really really dark...
the characters:
Jay Teller:
average white boy in suburban neighborhood, always friends with crazy
online people (not the bad people,) once accidentally bought 16oz of
weed, loves playing video games and is on team WCW. recognised by 645 people.
John (Nannou) Bellerose: really mentally broken and plans to shoot up the school, really depressed and has a lot of demons, team ECW.
Loves KMFDM and still brings a water gun to school despite those toys
being banned (blame it on the 1991 university of iowa shooting).
recognised by 1900 people
Kai Olsen: person who is in the same
queer club with Nannou but they're very concerned, always tries to be
with Justine because they have the same insane interests, they're team WWF. Has over a thousand pogs after starting “Pogker”, a poker version of the game. recognised by 1290 people.
Duke Vance: military kid from fort Carson, wants to get Nannou in shape all the time, WWF.
He doesnt like any opposition to his morals. Willingly calls
homosexuals and non-conformists that one slur i could probably not
mention. recognised by 1450 people.
Britney Teller: average white
blonde who's a sister of Jay, loves U2, plays video games, is actually a
really nice kid and unpopular because she doesn't try to be hip, WCW. recognised by 860 people.
Lana Hawthorne:
Goth girl who doesn't hang out with the other goths because she found
out they shop at JC Penney, actually top player in the district for
tennis, WWF. depressed... recognised by 1075 people.
Nico Sandoval:
Latino from the South side, always in shady shit, but does it because
he's broke as shit but he does the things for his family, WWF. Loves Snoop Dogg and Eazy-E, started his own gang that controls Southside Manitou Springs. recognised by 1570 people
Sid Quinn:
the badass who always drives a motorcycle, but always is the mediator
between all conflicts as the school, unofficial school judge, WCW.
Easily the richest person in the group as his father is a state
senator. You don't want to argue with him, future lawyer. recognised by
1800 people
Paulie Mantoba: football player who barely has
passing grades but he works at his family's gas station constantly so he
has no time to do school, really caring guy, WCW. Points all of the inaccuracies of sitcoms, might be a future movie critic. recognised by 430 people.
Justine Hayes:
cool German girl who listens to Weezer and Alt rock and drinks too much
Mountain Dew, most liberal in the group, plays guitar, genuinely the
happiest in the group, doesn't know much about wrestling but if you
asked her what her favourite wrestling promotion is she'd ask which
company Hogan is on, you could gaslight her into loving the WWF. actually really depressed inside. Best friends with Lana. recognised by everyone in the school.
Sedona Hayes:
23 yo older sister of Justine who neglects her. Somehow Justine hides
this fact insanely well. only Lana knows of her existence and knows the
surface level of the abuse. recognised by only 2 people. Fiercely NJPW.
Dustin Reed:
the classic stoner kid, stole 16oz of weed from Jay at midnight, he'll
just wank off to Home Improvement instead of watching wrestling.
nicknamed "stoner cold Dustin Rhodes" by Jay, “Goldust” by Duke,
“Stardust” by Kai, and “Silverdust” by Lana. Really observational and
intervenes when the situation is actually terrible with life-changing
philosophical advice, recognised to 215 people.
i wonder if i could get away with this really fucking terrible cast and entire plot but in my opinion its really important because i sometimes have the dark sides of John Bellerose and Justine Hayes that often get overlooked (people still dont understand what/why causes people end up shooting their school)
i'll of course try to make it look as respectful as possible (although its difficult to as its the most controversial topic to write about)
i wonder what yall thoughts would be about this terrible idea
