To all old, and new shy emos at SpaceHey..

This platform really brings back so much of the old vibes and memories of myspace days.

It's really difficult to find people who genuinely can connect and appreciate the same songs you love let alone finding friends in general as you finish school and get older.

I grew up listening to emo music in my teens and to be honest never stopped listening to them even to this day, I am 28 years old.

But deep down inside I was somewhat shy to admit to my friends that I still listen to these songs. I was a shy emo. I thought I should follow the trend and start listening to other trending songs.

But that was not who I was. I love fall out boy's first 3 albums to death. I love the rush of adrenaline when screaming vocal, and all other instruments come together after a second of pause. This is not what I should feel embarassed for. But I realize a lot of other emo lovers were dealing with the same issue. That's how I started Emo is for Lovers. I wish such group was around when I needed the most, but here it is.

Emo Is For Lovers is a global emo music community that provides an inclusive space for emo music lovers to chat, and communicate our appreciation and love for emo music. This can range from discussing your favorite bands to sharing stories of how the genre has affected our lives in one way or the other. Emo music has played great influences in our lives, and yet many of us in the community share experiences of feeling marginalized, shamed, or judged by our love for the genre taste that transcended continents and cultures. Emo Is For Lovers aims to combat the stigma, and make individuals feel accepted, and welcomed regardless of who, where, or what you are as we come together as one through our shared love and interest for emo music.
