2025 September Art Dump

Hallo! This is a better late than never kinda of post but I'm alive and well! hbu?

I don't have too much to update on right now. Just going to work and coming home and sleeping, but I'm really trying my best to be social and active. I planned a whole bunch of games and hangouts (both on and off stream) with friends for October so those will be fun!

But let's not to get too much into October, and look back on the art I made in September!

Kirby Air Ride: Frozen Hillside

Continuing the line-less style of my Peak artwork, I made a Kirby Air Ride piece! This is following all of the announcements of the new Kirby Air Riders game, and while I'm not planning on getting a Nintendo Switch 2 anytime soon I'm still excited for a Kirby Air Ride sequel to be made :)

Mario Party 3 Genies

I had never played the N64 Mario Party games so I had no idea that there was once a time where these very unique Toad designs existed! It makes me sad that the Mario universe became more standardized and dare I say sterilized over the years.. :(

I wanted to do draw these guys in the classic 2D Mario art style and I plan to eventually do this with all of the other Toads in the Mario Party series!

Draw This In Your Style: Kapily

I was scrolling through BlueSky and I found this DTIYS hosted by Kapily. Even though I had never interacted with this artist before, the design of their character really compelled me to participate! After this year's Art Fight, I've become interested in learning more about character design so I think really studying other people's designs will help with this.

The style here is a fusion of my line-less experiments and my usual thick-lined style. Making this was very fun because it essentially combined the different stages of my art by blending the "draft" and "lining" stages of my process. It really felt like I was carving out this character during the rendering step rather than independently filling in colors, shading, and highlights.

New BluSprinks Profile Pic

It had been over half a year since I last made a profile picture for myself and my sona's design evolved a bit since then so my old pfps were becoming outdated. This now has the blue star in my eye and my hair's silhouette is more refined! I also have a scarf that was suggested as part of my design by a friend! It's out of frame, but the scarf has these plush stars at both ends :)

Meta Knight Doodle

By this point in the month I've noticed that I hadn't drawn too much so I decided to start doodling something. I chose Meta Knight because I really wanted to render his mask. At first I thought I would stop there but I eventually moved on to drawing the whole character! I really love how the cape turned out all silky feeling. I wish I had spent more time on Galaxia (his sword) but I was running out of patience by then.

Closing Thoughts

All in all, still very happy with my art output for this month! I'm thinking next time I'll have to utilize the ability to save these as private so I can add descriptions for artwork as I create them because trying to remember my emotions and thoughts from back then is difficult.. T^T
