Highschool should be an experience but it’s so freaking lame when you don’t have friends especially during school events like I wanna participate in things but you don’t got no one to sit next to and like I always worry I’ll get in the middle of a friend group and instead of asking nicely to move they’ll just make smug remarks
I hate highschool

I feel like highschool is too glorified in media. Sure, it's a core part of your development as a teen, but it isn't everything.
Here where I live, I started work at 15 and rarely interacted with people my age. I don't have many friends, but I don't feel like I'm missing out if I stay at home while other people are out.
It may be because I'm naturally introverted, and have no issues with being genuinely alone for prolonged times, but have you considered why you feel like you're missing out?
I'd love to hear more about what you feel on this topic
It’s not like I care about it in general like as soon as school is over I go home and mainly just stay there I hate going out but at school it’s different I think just cause of the atmosphere sorta? Idk it’s not like I want 10 friends but atleast someone to like walk with me through Highschool I think due to everyone having someone with them deep down it’s more then just wanting a friend I think

Humans are, at the core, social beings. We desperately yearn for a deep connection with someone else, someone that can understand us without words, someone that we can love and care for. And that's absolutely fine to feel.
But there are times in life where we feel so alone, and that happens to a lot of young people going through puberty. This'll change once you get older, and one day you'll find a place where you belong and where you are respected.
Friends may not come so quickly, but they will eventually.
It gets better one day. Not tomorrow or next week, but eventually.
