being mean is cool, actually.

sumn from my notes app that I wrote when I was sleepy. Read it back to a couple of my friends when they were telling me about some assholes they were dealing with and they both told me to post it somewhere, so.

If you're trying to develop a sense of
confidence or refine your self-esteem
some more,
Try to keep in mind:
That someone being delibrately mean
Is waaaaaay weirder (derogatory)
Than just being a little strange.

And in case you're a little confused on
what someone being "mean" looks or
sounds like, basically, it's someone
metaphorically, or literally, shitting on
somebody.

Like. If you get the sense that someone
had positioned themselves above you, to
shit upon you, I need you to consider
the possibility that that is SO MUCH
WEIRDER (!) than being super intense about
how much you love Scooby Doo o
Chappell Roan.

Sooooooo much weirder than:
Having a lisp
Or liking to wear a lot of red
Or having a shitty anime art style
Or spouting off random fun facts every
chance you get.

Like.

I know someone being mean can be really
disarming, especially cus people LOVE to
be mean in a way that shrouds them in
plausible deniability, but just think about
it.

Think about how it's actually quite
undignifying to spread ass and shoot forth
your bad vibes and spiritual dysentary all
over someone because you think it's
funny (?) or appropriate.

(Like. Believe it or not, there are nice
respectful ways to rib on someone or tell
them they need to do better, and sometimes
it can be REALLY hard to discern
between someone tryna be nice or jokey
about a sensitive topic for you, and
someone being mean.

Like. When enough people are mean to you
often enough, sometimes wires get
crossed. And it's important to unravel that
cable spaghetti nonsense, cus if you don't,
YOU can and will end up being mean to
people who don't deserve it.)

It's actually really pathetic.

And yes, duh, being shat on is awful and
embarrassing, but unless there's a VERY
specific set of circumstances beforehand...
that wasn't your fault?

And I know I can say all this as an adult,
who's made it through the crucible of a
conventional education system -deep
breath-

But the sooner you find out and internalise
that being a bully is infinitely more absurd
and nonsensical than being a little freak
who's just trying to enjoy themselves?

The sooner you'll stop blaming yourself
and being ashamed for having the
aUdAcItY to just be yourself.

So.

From now on, if anyone comes up to you
an drops a completely unsolicited turd on
your new Sketchers, (or you realise that
someone has been using you for target
practice)

Look at them with disgust.

Anyway. That's my 7th grade reading level roast on assholes. Like comment and subscribe for more stream of consciousness rants.
