Do you have any suggestions for living like the 2000s or 2010s again? The only thing that's changed is social media, and people change based on it. I stopped actively using it for a month, but it still doesn't feel like it. I could use some site or activity suggestions, or your experiences. I'm really bored. Everyone's only concern is being a woman or a man. People have stopped being human. All they talk about is sex and sex. I can't stand it anymore. I want to feel more free. I'm out of ideas :p
Ditch your smartphone and replace it with a flip phone (and depending on what you've been using your cellphone for, maybe an MP3 player and/or CD player as well), get some offline hobbies, watch 2000s television shows and movies (this can include owning them on VHS/DVD/HDDVD/Blu-Ray), listen to music made in the 2000s, dress how people did in the 2000s, take photos on a digicam or on one of those disposable cameras, use 2000s slang, and most importantly, go spend some time outside. When you go online, do it on a computer instead of a smartphone or tablet and teach yourself how to burn blank optical discs. It's pretty much just as simple as doing the sorts of things that people were doing between the years 2000 and 2009, especially once you've done your research. It's important to remember that this is a lifestyle that takes a lot of dedication and resilience, yet I'd say it's totally worth it as long as you really put in the effort.
Oh, and you should also quit modern mainstream algorithmic based social media as well, assuming of course, that you've ever started using it in the first place (maybe YouTube could be an exception only due to the fact that it's been around since 2005 and wasn't always the way it is now, though even then, I'd suggest limiting your time on it and using browser extensions that restore the older look and functionality of the site).
Now if you wanted to live like it's the 2010s (especially the mid - late 2010s), that would be much simpler, since nothing has significantly changed between then and now.
Exactly,i quit from every social media almost but i didnt tought watch old movies cause im afraid if i addict on these movie and back to back online unhealthy but i think im gona put timer ty for ur comment it really gona help :3
We had social media in the 2010s, so even if you quit and try to be more present, everyone around you will still be obsessed with watching reels and stuff; it kind of breaks the spell. We just used social media differently. I remember having a water-fight, taking tons of pictures and posting all of them in a chaotic album on Facebook, without caring about how we looked, because we were having fun. Now everything has to be ''aesthetic'' to the point that nothing feels authentic anymore. As for recommendations on how to feel more like you're living in 2000s-2010s; I suggest taking walks with an mp3 player. This is the only thing that has worked for me so far.
Yes fr just bc i quit social media people thinking im telling lies or not belive,ik we have social media on that time too but like u said its not have to be perfect those day,thx for advice
