★ HORROR MOVIE MARATHON!: I've been trying to watch a bunch of horror movies I haven't seen this October, at least shooting for a movie a night. Its been closer to like... a movie every other night BUT IM TRYING. 乁| ･ 〰 ･ |ㄏ  These are my ratings in order so far!! I'll try to abstain from spoilers as well:

1) Alien- 10/10 HOLY PEAK LIKE WOW. First off all I was madly in love with Ripley the entire time, second the cinematography was fucking so cool in this movie. ヾ(*’Ｏ’*)/ Like all the sets and props and the vision is so perfect and cool and wow. Pretty slow moving but I really like suspense movies and it didn't ever feel boring. WATCH ALIEN!! :D

2) 28 days later- 6/10 veryyy 2000s but also very fun. I really liked the zombie concept in this one- that they aren't undead but just enraged, that's pretty cool.  (✿^‿^) I was a little bummed that they dulled out the female love interest the MOMENT she became a love interest, but that's just kind of what 2000s has to offer. I saw a lot of people complain about how this movie looks awful bc, Im being for real, it was filmed on a camcorder or something. I actually kind of liked how grainy it was soo.... O.o

3) The Descent- 7.5/10 ALL FEMALE CAST ALL COOL AND BADASS AND NOT ONE STUPID DECISION MADE (つ✧ω✧)つ - except for the whole concept of going into a cave with no map but like... otherwise this was really good! I was really surprised and I went in with pretty low expectations but it seriously delivers!! Also FUCK I felt claustrophobic, which is the point but STILL

4) Saw 2- 7.5/10 IDGAF I defend Saw movies like I am being paid to do so. o((*^▽^*))o  I love the Saw franchise thus far. I KNOWW people love to call these movies torture porn but seriously THERE IS A PLOT TO THEM okay like... obviously if you hate gorey stuff this wouldn't be for you but I love all the traps and how creative they be getting. Also I love Amanda Young so that definitely helps! :PP

5) The Ring- 8/10 Wow like everything in this movie connected back to itself?? Which seems like a low bar but I was really impressed with the story and I was fully invested the whole time. ^.^ The characters are likeable... except the journalists boyfriend but that may just be because he's a man and I'm a hater. Very well done, some parts look a little outdated but otherwise very well paced and entertaining!

6) Ouija: Origins of Evil- 6/10 I never watched the first one which according to Letterboxd is a good thing because the first one apparently sucks ass. This one was very solid as a standalone movie (I didn't even know it was a sequel until after watching) and generally a fun time. The CGI looked a little corny in some spots, especially if it lingered for a little too long but otherwise I really liked the setting and time period they picked, which makes it stick out a little more. (✷‿✷)

7) Zombieland- 6.5/10 Fun time, good zombie movie, sometimes a little incel-y but also can be excused because I love Jesse Eisenburg's nerdy ass so... I mean not much to say its a good watch its not anything crazy and its funny asf ^^

8) Aliens- 8.5/10 Now I obviously loved Alien so the sequel had a lot to live up to. The thing is that this movie feels like a different genre from the first- Alien was more slow, suspense and with a deeper underlying meaning to it; Aliens was on the nose, action and guns, and a little lacking in the original movie's theme. But not to say it was bad, it really stands up as a great sequel, I can see why some people like the sequel more than the original. The set and props and everything still holds up to the first, I just general like more suspense movies rather than action ¯\_ʘ‿ʘ_/¯

9) The Conjuring- 8.5/10 This movie was so fun, but, and this is petty, I kept getting all the white people in this movie mixed up because they all looked so identical LMFAO. Petty aside its a really well done and paced movie. They did really good with an accurate depiction of like... the fear of the dark... if that makes sense... IDK its fun and "based on a true story"... very loosely sure but its FUN!! ｡◕‿◕｡

Damn I thought I watched more than that... Like I seriously need to catch up on the days... I have a long ass list of movies and I really wanna get them all but I've been a bit busy with volleyball ending and life just sort of getting in the way. BUT IM TRYINGGG I SWEAR ｡:ﾟ(;´∩`;)ﾟ:｡
