who is phantom siita (and why you should love them)

phantom siita (ファントムシータ) 

kanji: 怪忌蝶

is a 4 member j-pop group with a retro-horror concept. 

their name comes from a combination of "phantom" (ghost) and "siita" (a combination of the scientific names for monarch butterflies - parantica sita - and swallowtail moths - epicopeia hainesii)

their fandom name is - haine (once again from the scientific name for swallowtail moths) 

they were produced by japanese music legend ADO who says she was inspired the make the group because she didn't see idols with this concept often. despite their concept, all of the current members of phantom siita are actually pretty easily frightened and don't usually indulge in horror media TT

they debuted june 26, 2024 with the single Otomodachi

- they've since released many many singles and their first album - Girlhood Memories 

- their most recent song is Bot Bakka releasing November 11, 2025 

the group has been on 2 tours so far 

their first tour 'Moth to a Flame' was a world tour where they travelled asia, the us, and europe

they are currently on their first ever japan tour 'Flame Medusa'

miu loves to eat and snack. she is the only member who had absolutely no idol experience/training prior to auditioning for phantom siita (no dance, vocal training, etc.) despite this she stands out for her amazing (!!!!) stage presence and sweet vocals. she is believed to have been center for OTOMODACHI

MOKA

moka is most known for her incredible strong vocals and underrated dance abilities. she loves sweet food and eggs and she's a big anime fan. she's the member who actively hates horror and doesn't watch a lot of horror media because she's easily scared. she's also afraid of pigeons LOL. moka has always loved dancing and singing and has been singing in some capacity for her whole life. moka was center for CONFLICTING

RINKA

- birthday: may 9, 2007

rinka is another member known for her powerful vocals, specifically the lowest parts of phantom siita's songs. she's phantom siita's cat member, known for her cat like visuals and iconic cat ear hairstyle even though she's allergic to cats. (ado has also nicknamed her a peach fairy) she's the most laid-back member who enjoys the sky and long twisting roads. rinka was center for DEVILISH GIRL

MONA

mona is the youngest member of phantom siita. she's famously cute, cute enough that ado thought she was auditioning as a joke just to see what ado looked like TT. she often handles low parts but is known for her sweet, princessy, high voice. she absolutely loves being cute and researching/buying makeup. mona was center for JUST WANNA XXXX WITH YOU

FORMER MEMBER

HISUI (NOW SUI)

- birthday: may 1, 2003

sui was the oldest member of phantom siita! she was the only member with an actual interest in horror and dark things. she's known for her high voice and being the top of phantom siita's harmonies. she was also a former member of the group welit. it was announced in may of 2025 that she would be leaving phantom siita for health reasons, although she's active on all socials and has said that she doesn't want this to be the end of her journey! sui was center for HANABAMI

phantom siita are known for their amazing stage presence and their insane live vocals, where they often perform with low or no backing track. they frequently cover famous japanese/idol songs such as nantettatte idol, suki suki daisuki, stay with me/mayonaka no door, and tot musica by ado (which is also the song they auditioned for the group with!!!!) <-- guys this is such a good cover pls watch it
