My Review
- I’ll Be OK (7/10) - A decent pop rock track and a decent opener. It’s so glad that he’ll be OK. Peaked at No. 1.
- I’ve Got You (8/10) - A catchy pop-punk tune that calls back to the band’s debut album.
- Ultraviolet (8/10) - This song introduces the more orchestral motif of this album and employs the usage of standard band instruments as well as sitars. Peaked at No. 9.
- The Ballad of Paul K (6/10) - AKA ‘The Ballad of a Drunk’.
- I Wanna Hold You (9/10) - Even more orchestral aspects to this song as well as a surprisingly good guitar solo. Easily the heaviest song on the album. Peaked at No. 3.
- Too Close for Comfort (6/10) - Iris if it was made in the UK. Sounds a bit like post-hardcore in the final chorus!
- All About You (9/10) - A classic pop track, leaning heavily into the baroque pop aesthetic of the album. Peaked at No. 1.
- She Falls Asleep - Part 1 (7/10) - A cosy little instrumental.
- She Falls Asleep - Part 2 (10/10) - A great ballad.
- Don’t Know Why (7/10) - Very self explanatory, but these guitar solos are genuinely awesome.
- Nothing (6/10) -
- Memory Lane (8/10) - A nostalgic pop rock ballad to end this album, right back where we started.
Overall, the album is pretty good for what is basically a boy-band record. The best tracks in my opinion are ‘I Wanna Hold You’, ‘All About You’ and ‘She Falls Asleep’.
I rate this album a 7.5/10.
For some reason the font changed idk why
