I’ve often thought about what comes after we die, and to be honest reincarnation has always made the most sense. I feel like maybe we’re all a consciousness that bounces around inhabiting different bodies.
Typically we forget the previous life, unless a glitch happens and you end up as one of those people who DO remember their past life. It just feels like it makes the most sense. Most religions are too far fetched, and the thought of nothingness is hard to comprehend.
I could be wrong, but my question I guess is what do YOU think happens?

people are born different — with different strengths, talents, and burdens.
some get everything from the start, and some have to build from nothing.
that makes perfect sense if you think of it as qualities carried over from past lives.
still, religion shouldn’t be dismissed either — since it’s not the personality that reincarnates,
for the individual it’s more like a pause or forgetfulness before the final judgment —
or, like the Egyptians said, life is a flicker, and the afterlife is eternal lol.
personally, I have zero doubt about reincarnation —
and I recommend you don’t, either

Logically and scientifically, nothingness makes the most sense. Can you offer a logical and scientific explanation as to why reincarnation is the most probable explanation to what happens with evidence to support your claim?
the entire scientific method is materialistic, lol —
how exactly are you planning to study non-material phenomena with it?
and let’s not forget that science and scientific logic rest on a very specific set of assumptions —
assumptions based on faith, not proof.
so, with all due respect to the achievements of human reason over the last fifty years,
science is still a tool — and by design, it’s the wrong one for this kind of question.

I always thought of it like reincarnation but with no in between period that allows for retaining memory. Your body and mind shut down completely after you die so there’s nothing left from the past, but your soul sort of. Starts back from square one. Alternatively I imagine there could be no soul and once the body is dead there’s an even more non-existent kind of non-existence than I want to consider.
We think alike.

it doesnt make the most sense, its just the most appealing to you, youd like it to be true, but it doesnt make it remotely real
You think about it. Do you genuinely believe there’s some sort of all powerful being in the sky dictating everything? That’s not even considering the archeological evidence contradicting modern religions. It genuinely makes the most sense.

1 - yes i do believe an eternal all powerful all knowledgable creator exist, and this is backed by the work of thousands of philosophers and theologians from the past 2000 years, aswell as miracles and holy scriptures
2 - syaing that other are wrong doesnt make you right; its not bc you dont believe in a monotheistic abrahamic religion that all of a sudden reincarnation makes sense

I simply said it makes the most sense, not that it’s true. To find out, I’d need to die first. The dead are the only ones who know for sure. The human mind can be very wrong. Perhaps there is a being, but given the actual evidence that isn’t man made, I’m a skeptic. If you believe in something, that’s you. You have your beliefs, while I have mine.
