10/15/25 ENTRY.04: nights are lovely for those who stay

i had practice earlier that needed extra time, resulting in a pretty late drive home compared to what i’m used to. 

the dark sky and the crickets filling the silence were little aspects i always managed to overlook.. to a point where i began to think that I was meant to, that nights only exist to lull us beings into closing our eyes.

but tonight, the stars seemed brighter and everything else around me felt alive.

each roar of the engine allowed my exhaustion to fade away. this very night was calling to me, i was meant to take in its beauty.

so i did. i took in the people around me, hoping id hear all their stories. i took in the smell of rain left from leaves. i took in the cold wind as it brushed against my skin. 

only then did i wish for everlasting nights, just so i could relive this moment as many times as i wish.

(just came home and this was the first thing i set my mind to… i think im half alseep, ogodniight)
