Without these socials

So it's been about a week or so since I deleted Instagram and TikTok off my phone and I realize that I'm doing much better than how I was before. I'm happier and my mental health is better.

Toxic social media places really do make you go down some dark rabbit holes and make your life worse whether you realize it or not. It affects your mental state drastically and the fact that algorithms were determining how I should feel just doesn't seem right.

Now, I actively search out what I want to look at, I actively try and find reliable news, and I don't just listen to what the newest trend is so I'm finally developing my own style after all these years.

Yes, I know it sounds weird that I'm just now finding my personal style of clothing, but that's what algorithms do, they try to rewire your brain so that you're following the latest trends and not being true to yourself.

Instagram and TikTok really fucked up my brain so I'm glad that I finally decided to delete them and remove my accounts off of them. I feel so free and happy now. And when I want to see what's going on in the world, I go to reliable news sources or just use something like ground news to get my information.

I thoroughly enjoy not having this extra noise in my life, and I very much advise anyone to take TikTok and Instagram off their devices. They're run by big corporations that don't care about how you feel as a person, they're algorithms are design to show the most extreme content, and they don't help in solving a lot of world problems in my experience.

I just don't find any substantial reason why they should exist.

SO anyways, that's just my experience with tiktok and instagram, if you have a completely different experience or want to share your own please let me know, I'd be interested to hear how these platform affect different people.
