whats up with the discourse on tiktok surrounding anime figurines? especially bootlegs. i aim for official figurines, but oh my god, some people are going ham over someone buying bootlegs, as if they are affecting them. yes, bootlegs use harmful chemicals, child labour, art theft and over all look shitty, but i've never seen a community so defensive before; both against it and those supporting it.
also some people just LOVE gushing about how they have obscene figures, just so a old guy can't buy it. so what? let the old guy masturbate, its just anime figures at the end of the day.

I personally don't care if someone buys bootlegs, but they make it seem as if they do it because they don't have another choice. I mean, you don't NEED anime figures, it's not a necessity, collecting figurines is a hobby. And they could save or buy second-hand instead
And the "saving figures from perverts" is just so dumb AJDJDJ
You're not "saving" anything for buying it, just say you liked it even if it's nsfw, it's not a crime
