Hi everyone! <3 Not too long ago I decided to turn/customize the SHIT out of my Windows 11 to Windows XP so i can be an even more 2000s diva!! I got super dedicated to make it authentic so here are the results for anyone interested, xoxo!! <3
So first, here is the lockscreen hehe:

As you can see, I changed a LOT lolol!! I changed the resolution (to 1280 x 1024 tho I do sometimes switch to the regular widescreen resolution which is 1920 x 1080), I downloaded and changed the ICO files, I changed the font with a program called Advanced System Font Changer (since when I changed it the regular way - through the settings - it made the font a bit too small :/), I downloaded (an unfortunately AI powered...) Clippy, downloaded the Yahoo Widgets and changed the wallpaper and also changed the taskbar with Retrobar!! I also changed the menu with Classic Openshell:
I also downloaded Firefox and customized it (and downloaded an extension to make Google look older and another one to remove the AI overview!), downloaded a skin for the Windows Media Player, downloaded the old paint and, customized the file explorer and even changed the cursors and sounds hehe!! told u I'm dedicated xoxo!! ;3
(as you can see I also changed the borders with a program!!)
I also added the 3D pipes screensaver!!
I absolutely love the idea of coding and tech and that's super interesting to me but I don't think I'm that smart to do that shit lol since I most of the time Google/search up (-ai) how to do certain things lol!! Nerds r hot/cute imo lol xoxo - I did most of this with the help of this video!! I also commented under the video with help with some problems:

UPDATE FEB 23RD 2026:
Hey hey!! I added and changed some more stuff to make it look and feel even MORE like Windows XP!! Here are the stuff I changed/did!! :D
I changed the icons with a third party called filetypesman that allows u to search for and change the file type's icons!! (here are just some of them, I also changed the ones for videos and others, as well as the shortcut icons!)
I made videos to open with the Windows Legacy Media Player and I also downloaded and switched from the normal picture viewer to the Windows Picture and Fax Viewer, switched to the classic notepad and also switched to the classic calculator!

That version of paint was sooo much better.
For me it was the Win7 paint tbh, I'm still surprised that the new paint has LAYERS!!! TToTT I did see a video that said that paint has always had layers but I just didn't know how to use them apparently, but they made it easier in the new paint!! I'm not even that old but newer users won't understand the struggle that was getting used to Win7 paint :')

Ugh I find it annoying bcuz if I cut then I lose the background. I have to go back and fill where I just cut. It's an extra unnecessary step. And if I forget to fill, my image gets crazy and sometimes I just have to start over from scratch.
