Peacemaker (and James Gunn) are Awesome

I know there’s a war online about Snyder vs Gunn, but I absolutely love the direction Gunn is going with the new DCU. Superman was amazing and felt like I was watching an actual comic book, corny jokes and optimism included. I just finished watching the first season of Peacemaker the other day too and can say it’s almost just as good. I’m glad we’re moving away from the hyper-masculine and spandex filled superhero craze of the 2010s, where people only felt like they could like superhero’s if they were dark and manly.

This was kind of all over the place rant thing, but let me know what you think of the new DCU!

I'm also glad directors are intentionally moving away from the era of quippy Marvel movies and Snyderisms. One of the reasons I liked the original Spider-Man movie trilogy was because I felt like it wasn't trying to be similar to other movies, and I felt like Sam Raimi understood what made a Spider-Man story what it was. I genuinely believe the movies since were to some degree copying or taking note of what came before. Like with the first Iron Man movie, or like when Justice League came out clearly trying to have it's own "Endgame" craze.

I only watched the superman movie he directed and I thought it was pretty good. I'm not that big of a fan of him but I like his troma movie stuff so I have some respect for bro.
