uni group work messes with innocent people & is waking up the devil inside me

it's pretty much my final year of university and it's definitely been a wild ride. to finish up the last 3 years, there is this major collaborative real-world client project that happens across all the degrees (except game design students) and lasts about 7 weeks. in theory, this sounds like a great time to put your theory to practical use, and learn about other people's specialisations, AND gives us a chance to meet people we will likely be working with in the industry in the next few years (quick side note: speaking like this business-minded machine is a bit disgusting lmao but anyways😭)

yeah so it SOUNDS great. however, what i failed to take into consideration was the sheer amount of ABSOLUTE dickheads walking around campus that i never noticed before this.

i am finally in the last week of this 7-week-long purgatory and i am at my wit's end 😭 no i actually dont understand how the hell things managed to get so annoying.

see, the kind of person i am, i really do not enjoy forming any coupe's during group assignments. like i really always hope and pray that we all come to the shared understanding that this is a great opportunity to learn and that we all need to shut the fuck up and do our work. obviously, i must have killed a sacred animal in my past life and am now in the middle of some karmic punishment.

i have a member of my team who has somehow made it through 3 years without learning a single thing from their degree. another one who likes to act important and bossy but has actually barely done a single thing aside from criticising any good ideas we come up with. another one who honestly acts like such a bitch for literally no reason and always has some excuse about missing meetings but then being angry when they dont know whats going on. and another oak who's been down with the plague for 2 and a half weeks and never knows whats going on no matter how much we try to catch them up.

i swear the day i take the time to figure out how to upload photos, i will show you guys the whatsapp messages of pure bitchiness and evil that came from the last two weeks. it was sorta calm, if not a bit tense, at the beginning but i swear to God it's felt like everyone has lost their actual minds. 

there's about 3 of us (including myself) in this group of 7 adults who have actually done anything of substance here and im not even joking. i haven't been this stressed in months y'all, the tension headaches i get have come back with a vengence 😭 MIND YOU,  this is not the only thing we have for school??? there are still other modules with their own tests and assignements that arre happening concurrently but it has been so difficult to keep up with because the uneven weight distribution of work getting done with this project makes it go so damn slow. 

i do NOT understand why grown ass adults need to be begged for work and cooperation. shit, some respect for one another would be nice as well. 

fortunately, the panel of lecturers who are supervising us like the work we have been coming up with. and even better, this friday i can finally say goodbye to 4 of these assholes and carry on with my life 😭

yea no, nothing has tested me as much as these 7 weeks have academically. but we move and persevere 😭‼️
