Lets wrap this up here... do you use AI for your paintings or when writing books?
From what I’ve seen, some people are totally against mixing art with AI, while others say it’s great for sparking ideas or making things easier
I even saw someone talking about making full on movies with AI (not just trailers) and honestly, the way AI is evolving feels kinda scary for artists, and even directors

In my opinion, AI shouldn't be used to completely write a book or produce content on its own. That would be like asking AI to replace the creative work of a human author, which I think is wrong. For example, it would be wrong to simply tell AI: 'Write my entire novel for me.' On the other hand, it is right to use AI as a tool to assist during the writing process, such as helping brainstorm ideas, suggesting improvements to sentences, or checking grammar. This way, the AI supports creativity instead of replacing it.But I am willing to have a respectful debate if anyone wants to :)

I'm a firm believer that generative AI is a net-negative for everyone, especially the planet. Now; I said "generative AI" specifically because neural networks themselves are really a useful and innovative piece of technology/method of solving problems.
It's just that I think it's immensely stupid and wasteful to use it to generate slop. A person's art and words are literally their soul. Even down to gathering and absorbing general info; I don't see why any reasonable person would outsource their thinking too.
Exactly, I’m honestly shocked that some people wanna write an entire book using AI. Art is only art when it has soul, and that’s something AI just can’t give us
Every question, every idea, every little prompt we feed it becomes part of its data and guess what? That info doesn’t just vanish. AI could easily take a writer’s concept and hand it off to someone else, or turn the text of novel you gave it into an episode idea for another person, thats terrifying

I personally have a more neutral view towards ai but that may be because I like to understand both sides of the argument.
I personally hate the thought of using ai on any of my artworks because I wouldn't like the thought of typing out words and let it do it for me. It just doesn't feel the same. Ai feels more like a free commission. I also don't "feel" as much when I see ai stuff so maybe that's why too.
And my artstyle just isn't comparable to ai. I find ai art looks too similar.
Exactly, I also think art has a soul and even thinking AI art could reach that level is kinda laughable

Yeah. I think because I grew up watching speedpaints back in the 2010s as a kid, I find the process really enjoyable and important before the end result.
