Here I will yap about Tom Jenkinson aka Squarepusher. A drum n bass artist that I like. I don't hear a lot of people my age talking about his music and I think people should know about him! This is kind of for me or whatever but hopefully it might be interesting for someone that might stumble upon it. Hopefully :3
Also I'm not a music reviewer or sum shit like that so don't expect anything fancy. Just kinda writing from my thoughts you know.

Squarepusher - Go Plastic
It is honestly hard to put into words how impressive this album is. Squarepusher is not a fucking human being. For those that don't know, this entire album was made without a computer.
Go Plastic is a very dark and atmospheric drum n bass record. At times, It doesn't even have any structure and just turns into a glitchy mess. But some songs are absolutely gorgeous on this album. "I Wish You Could Talk" and "Tommib" especially come to mind. This was the first album by Squarepusher I listened to and I remember being very confused by the end of it. I really hadn't heard anything like it. I don't really know if I even liked it at first. But I clearly didn't dislike it either since I kept revisiting it. This is the second time that I've felt like this about a record (The first time being Geogaddi by Boards Of Canada but that is a WHOLE other yap session for another day.) And suddenly, one day when I was listening to The Exploding Psychology, everything just kind of clicked. I'm going to try to break down a few songs that I like from this album based on my own thoughts to the best of my capability but honestly, it is very difficult because you could probably yap about this album for hours.
My Red Hot Car: The album begins with the relatively grounded song "My Red Hot Car". (It's actually called "My Red Hot Cock" but let's not.) Well I wouldn't necessarily call it "grounded" but at least a lot less "intense" for a lack of a better word compared to the rest of the album. The song sounds almost a bit "video-gamey" in my opinion, and contains chopped samples of what I assume is Tom Jenkinson himself.
