A Proper Introduction Letter

This isn’t my usual way of writing. I’m used to college essays and business-professional documentation. But that’s not what this blog is about.

This space is my first true way of expressing myself and honestly, openly, and without the filters I’ve learned to hide behind. It might sound silly, but I want to share my voice in the most impactful way I can.

Are there people who know about my real life? Yes. But that’s not stopping me here. Even if what I write helps one person, it’ll be worth it.

My name is Mossy. I’m in my late 20s, I’m genderfluid, and I go by other names on social media for one simple reason: privacy. Not out of danger, but because I value the little bit of privacy I still have.

Privacy is powerful. When people don’t know everything about you, they’re forced to make assumptions. That can be a useful tool. The internet used to feel like a room. Now, I see college students using Google Docs like AOL chatrooms and others returning to older corners of the web like Neocities and SpaceHey (THAT'S YOU). It feels like a breath of fresh air—not just in a nostalgic Wattpad, Fanfiction, AO3 kind of way, but as a way to reclaim the internet as a true third space again.

So what are my goals?
I want to be that random older sibling who shares what’s going on in their head. I love passing on the things I’ve learned, and I strongly believe that in this chaotic world, it’s important to keep learning always. Even if it means sharing those lessons on the digital stage for anyone to see.

What do I believe?
I believe everyone has the right to live fully. I believe it’s important to nurture the world we live in not just the planet itself, but the people who inhabit it. I see life as a wheel: if the world keeps moving forward, I should too. That includes resting when I need to, and allowing myself to recharge so I can keep going.

It’s cheesy, but that mindset has kept me going for nearly a decade.
I have spiritual beliefs, but I question everything around me. My spirituality doesn’t define me it’s just one part of who I am. And if you grew up in a background where you unfortunately understand what that means, let me be the first to tell you: no matter what, you’re going to be okay. <3 You got this.

In conclusion, I just want to have fun. I enjoy paranormal things, tarot, giving big-sibling advice, movies, and cooking. I’m also what’s known as polyjamorous so if you have music to share, go for it. I used to have a playlist that went from “The Cheeseburger Song” straight into “Everywhere I Go.”

Keep going;
Mossy
