Intro

When I was younger, I flirted with the idea of writing fantasy and sci-fi tales. I even managed to sketch a few concepts in a big notebook that I made with my basic bookbinding skills at the time, they were really flawed, I admit, I got lost in the worldbuilding rabbit hole and the actual story never really developed.
Now I find myself urged to create stories again.

I never really developed my writing skills and had no practice at all for many years, but I’m currently trying to change that. I feel that, as my head matured, I got a better idea of the messages I would like to convey in my stories, they’re still unpolished, just some sketches and daydreams, but I see some potential.
I remember my first adventures on the internet on my early life (I think I firstly got online at the age of 6 or 7) were based on my amusement on how much knowledge I could get just spending some time messing around with a computer, my first books were encyclopedias and scientific magazines and I was fascinated with biology and paleontology, yeah, I was the weird kid…

So in my early days I was watching evolution documentaries online and I stumbled upon the field of speculative evolution, which explores daydreams about how life would evolve on other planets, as well as how life on Earth might look a few million years into the future. I still hold this part of me dearly.
But nowadays, I think I have gotten a lot more human in some way, I find myself thinking about our consciousness and our human experience in life. I can’t stop thinking about how life on earth is all connected and how consciousness is probably everywhere, and how we distance ourselves from the rest of the universe. I firmly believe that life on earth is like a big “conscious” super-organism, and our distance from it makes us struggle in multiple aspects of our existence.

That’s kind of the tangent I want to follow in some of my tales.
Maybe I’m not making a lot of sense right now, but that’s because I still have a long way to go on storytelling. I hope someday I can bring some of my projects to life and turn them into finished pieces for the world to see.
