Or how to debate in general apparently.
Don’t expect this to be an “intellectual” overview on spaceheys user base and how to properly debate. This is just me rambling, thanks.
Most of the time it’s just hurling insults instead of providing sources or making actually good arguments. Not sure why a lot of you get into spats just to embarrass yourself. Spacehey has an issue with everyone thinking they’re smarter or better than you, so there are tons of users that will argue with people over basically nothing. A superiority complex on Spacehey is crazy work to me.
I’m sure most users who check blogs have seen the rise in political discussions on here and it makes sense considering our current climate. But please, if you’re going to debate, do it correctly. I’m so tired of seeing the rampant immaturity when it comes to talking about politics. (Or pretty much anything) Ik most users are teens and young adults but y'all gotta stop embarrassing yourselves. Especially when you are discussing peoples lives. Please make sure you’re checking your facts. Misinformation is sooo prevalent on social media nowadays so just be careful.
Sometimes it’s just best to leave a comment alone if you don’t have anything meaningful to bring to the conversation. It could be ragebait and you’re just giving them the attention they want.
And for the love of God do we really need to be throwing around slurs and weird ass insults??

dude this is so real. its honestly sad how prevalent politics have become in general, too. like, kids under 17 shouldnt be worrying about the economic state of the world, they should be talking about tv shows and videogames they like and riding their bikes outside or whatever. but i digress
) they resort to insults. and that makes THEM look terrible. going from debating about how to improve a government system to "well your face is small" is actually wild to me. it's not cool, it's really quite petty, and it makes the person saying it look incompetent.
