YAP SESSION‼️ 10/8/25

NEKOCON - I am so very excited for Nekocon, so this will definitely be a reoccurring topic! Nekocon is Oct 31 - Nov 2, so until then, and probably for a while afterwards I will be repeatedly talking about it, oopsie! :3

The thing I am most excited for is definitely KAZHA, so that will be its own little section because best believe I have A LOT i wanna say! But until then I'll just talk about my line up! On Friday I will being going as Daki from Demon slayer! My absolute favorite character ever is Gyutaro, and I already have a cosplay of him so I got one of Daki as well! I'm still working on it currently, I need to finish her wig and fix the belts! For the wig I'm trying to do a glued hairline for the first time so I'm hoping it'll go well!! And for the belts I just plan on putting thicker wires inside so it will hold its shape!

On Saturday I'm going as Zack Foster from Angels of Death! This will also be a new cosplay so I've been working on that for the past few weeks and I'm so excited! I actually tried cosplaying him once before a few years ago, and It SUCKED, so I've been very hesitant on trying again, but its already going so much better! I've remade the hoodie, the scythe, and got a new wig so it's already looking way better! I've improved in a lot of different aspects, so I'm super excited to try again! Angels of Death is my absolute favorite anime so I can't wait to be able to wear it to a con! One of my friends that I'm going with is going as Rachel so I'm literally so excited to go together because we have wanted to do these cosplays for years now!

On Sunday I'm actually going to wear two cosplays! I've only done it once before, but It went fine so I'm going to do it again! In the morning I'm going as Namgyu from Squid game because it is my favorite show ever!! And Namgyu is my favorite character from Squid game, so I originally made his cosplay for Halloween, but the first day of Nekocon actually overlaps with Halloween so I decided to wear the cosplay to Nekocon! This is also a new cosplay, but its completely finished and I actually have been able to cosplay him already to make sure it looks good, which it does!! I'm really happy with it so I can't wait to wear it!! I also bought a plushie of him from Plushshop so I'm going to bring that as well to get pictures! And at around 12, depending on the schedule, I'm going to switch out into my Kagamine Len cosplay! I love my Len cosplay so much, and it was actually the first cosplay I wore the first time I went to Nekocon back in 2022! I wear my Len cosplay the most to conventions and It's always so much fun! I also always match with my best friend as Rin! And this year one of my other friends is going to match with us as Miku as well! One of my favorite parts of conventions is going with friends and matching cosplays! I've been to quite a few conventions, but Nekocon will always be my favorite! Not only is it just a lot of fun, but It also has a lot of sentimental meaning as well. Every year I spend all year looking forward and planning for Nekocon, so the fact that its getting so close is extremely exciting!! Every day I find myself getting even more excited for it, so It will be a common subject I yap about, especially as it gets closer!

KAZHA AT NEKOCON!! - Technically this is also about Nekocon, but I have so much to say just about the band and concerts at Nekocon that it gets its own section! Nekocon is a Japanese culture convention that mostly revolves around things like anime, manga, and games, but they also bring a Japanese band every year! Since I've been attending Nekocon, and a few years before that, they normally bring in a company called Chaotic Harmony that brings in different visual kei bands! Last year they brought in a band called Wagatame, and the year before that they brought in Yugiri from DaizyStripper, and Sarshi from HERO! I actually got into vkei because of their concert at Nekocon in 2023!! And the year before that they brought in Kouki from D=OUT, and Hizaki from Versailles. Unfortunately I missed that concert, but that's off topic! The point is, for a while they have been bringing in Chaotic Harmony to bring these visual kei bands, but this year they did something different. This year they're bringing in a band called KAZHA, KAZHA is not being brought by Chaotic Harmony, and they're not even a visual kei band! I was really nervous about it at first because I'm used to the way Chaotic Harmony runs all the events for the bands, but I'm still extremely excited! When they announced that KAZHA was coming I started listening to their music and I really like all the songs I've heard! I was really disappointed that they aren't bringing a vkei band this year, but I still can't wait to go to KAZHA's concerts!! Normally they hold two concerts, one on Friday night, and one on Saturday night, and as far as I know they will be doing the same again this year! To be completely honest, most of my days at Nekocon completely revolve around the events for the bands! So for Friday and Saturday I see a lot of waiting in line to get a good spot in the front row for the concert LMAO! I don't mind sitting waiting though! Its worth it every time! And its nice to sit for a while after being so active when I first get to the con. I've also started working on drawings to give to each of the members! I haven't made much progress, but I finished the sketch of Kazuha! (Kazuha is the vocalist and bassist! Should I make a blog just with information about KAZHA?) I need to start working on the other two members drawings, but I will start those tomorrow as I will be pretty busy tonight.

I think that's all I wanted to say about Nekocon and KAZHA today, so until tomorrow when I get excited about it all over again! >_<
