How 2 DIY Keychains!!

I made my BF and I some cute chibi key chains! His is a bday present and I kinda just wanted a lil Mabel to hang on my purse. Here's how I made them:

  1. Draw your preferred lil guy and cut it out
  2. Trace outline onto a piece of cardboard (I used an old cereal box)
  3. Color the edges of the cardboard black and also the ends
  4. Glue the lil guy drawing to the cardboard. If the cardboard has a smooth texture to it, score it with scissors to make the glue stick better
  5. Repeat steps 2-4 with a piece of paper and color the back of the paper black
  6. Seal the front, back, and edges of the key chain with mod podge or some other artist sealant
  7. Use a hole puncher to make a hole at the top of the key chain. If your hole puncher is dull and won't cut into paper right, hole punch some aluminum foil. It'll make it sharper, same with scissors
  8. Finally, get your clip and string and tie everything together. I used a Matthew Walker knot to tie my stuff together

And you're done! :33 Also I got my key chain clips from some old ones I didn't want anymore. You should be able to get something like that from your local crafts store or maybe even walmart.

Okay happy crafting :]
