october life/art update!!

howdy howdy! happy october, month of halloween and mysticism and whimsy and pumpkin spice. i hope you all are managing the best you can in your circumstances.

this month i'm actually doing an art challenge this month on bluesky, which is the first time i've done a proper art challenge in like... years, i think. I did inktober for a couple years way back in the day, i did beatletober back in my beatles days, but since then idr really doing any art challenges. i tend to get super burnt out. this one seems chill tho, as there are a few main days where you're expected to post if you're participating, but you don't have to post Every day if you don't want to. it's nice! i've been very art brained lately, very drawing. thinking about mega man again because i love mega man so much, thinking about making a fan comic again. tee hee we'll see idk <3

not a whole lot has been added to the ghost harem draft, mostly because i've been really trying to focus on my art drawing. next month, however... that is when i will lock the fuck in on the guys. it's been over a year since i started the draft, i want to try and at least finish the first book i've been writing in. then, i'll pass it around to some of the homies, they'll give me their takes, and i'll do a second write through before i start actually drawing the comic. 

as for irl, i started a new job recently!! very huge and exciting, i love my new current employment and i intend to do some working my way up the ladder type of motion. i'm gonna be getting paid a little more and it's closer to my house and home so hopefully it'll enable me to pay off the rest of my student loans and i won't feel bad about spending money. in relation to this i kinda wanna redo my ko-fi page because i would like to just put up all my pins n stuff to sell online. the "I <3 DOOMED TOXIC YURI" pins would go crazy on the web i think. also also i would like to redo my bedroom to have a better vibe (this will be money unfortunately but i want it to be as little money as possible).

today i went out for shopping n things, and on a whim went into the local democratic committee building, just cus i've seen it around but never actually knew you could go inside (i just thought it was a building for which to advertise local candidates?). if you yourself are interested in being more involved in your local political scene i highly recommend doing so by going to your local committee hq, it's very refreshing bcs i found that a lot of my local dems were frustrated with higher up establishment dems, AND i got to learn more about the people running for electable positions in my town! also learned when some local events were being held and it also got me reinvigorated to look into local dsa chapters/branches. 

idk if this is the case for other people, but i feel a lot of motion lately. things are happening and going, and i don't mean this in the typical way that they always do. i just feel something. don't know how else to explain it. i've been inclined to check back in with my spirituality just since it's been a minute.
