Hello World - Self Origins
I lament the fact that it has taken 25-30 years to develop a stable brain, and that it is all downhill from here.
Born 1994 in Incheon, South Korea from an unwed mother, age around 21.
Adopted to mid-town Wisconsin (there really aren't that many mid/large towns in WI tbh), to a white family. My mother, father and older brother and older sister were my family. Although my siblings were from my mom's first marriage and they were already graduating out of high school by the time I ended up in WI. Essentially grew up as an only child.

My mother's dad, and my father's dad both died before I even conceptually existed. My mother's mom passed away within the first year of me being in the states. My father's mom and dad-in-law (my grandpa) were the only grandparents I knew, and I didn't know them very well.
Childhood was quite spoiled, and I don't believe I was a very kind child. Also, definitely not equipped to navigate being an interracial adopted child in white town usa. Wanted nothing to do with being Korea, let alone being East Asian, until college. But that was much later.
Games
I got started playing video games thanks to a childhood friend who was two years older and had all the latest Nintendo consoles growing up. I'm not sure which came first, but I did receive a purple Game Boy color as a present one year. Pokemon Red was my initial game. That eventually lead to the gateway drug that is Pokemon...leading us to Yellow, Silver, Crystal, Ruby, FireRed, Emerald, Diamond (I hate diamond and pearl)...etc.etc.etc.
I do remember playing Duck Hunt on the original Nintendo at a baby sitter's house while very young.
Play
I never knew places purely for arcade cabinets, and I forget where my first pinball machine experience ever was (actually one memory that just popped up was at an old pizza place in town that used to serve marshmallow pizza). I did get to go to Chuck E. Cheeses and play arcade games there. I also loved the shit out of playplaces and play structures at fast food places such as McDonalds and Burger King. It's a shame they are gone nowadays, sure they are gross as heck, but they were so freaking wonderful as a child.
There is also a large outdoor play structure/park for kids in my hometown. It was also incredible, it had so many fun features of the time. I'm not even sure how to describe the things they had.

Art
Can we be certain when something actually began? I'm not sure what dictates the beginning of "art" for someone.I distinctly remember learning to make a paper airplane in pre-school. As a family we did Christmas holiday-homemade-decorations with my mom and her sisters. I remember drawing some sort of figure in kindergarten that wore a diaper full of shit and piss. Very embarrassing. Still mortifies me to this day. I think I viewed art classes as "play" while growing up.
