September '25

Guess who's finally posting their first blog! I think I finally figured out a way to actually get myself to write these down in full, very exciting. :) I hope to do one of these at the end of every month!

Birthday!!

To start off, my birthday was on the 9th! Honestly, I would probably consider it my best birthday so far. This is the first time everyone remembered, and most even made me something too!! All of my friends are so sweet, I love them so much <3

A homemade pin with the Spider Punk logo on it A cardboard string doll of Hatsune Miku A drawing of a cat/bat hybrid. In the top corner the words 'Happy birthday!' are written. Two kandi keychains. One is a purple lizard and has the word 'Lynx' on it. The other is a star in purple, white, yellow, and black. A paper doll of an Eevee

The Fair

I went to the fair with my best friend!! It was a blast!! Honestly, that was the first time I spent more than like 2 hours on the fairgrounds; we actually stayed until closing. We rode pretty much every ride two or three times. They were all very tame, but still very fun! There was this acrobatics show we only caught the tail end of, and let me tell you, when the motorcycles went into that cage thing, it was so cool. The vendors hall was very cool too. I bought a few crochet plushies. Might've swiped some overpriced crystals.. but who would've noticed that anyways? Nearby, there was a petting zoo with sheep, goats, and some really fat rabbits. During all this excitement, I tried both boba and fried oreos for the first time, which were both kinda weird but really good. Fried oreos sound absolutely insane, I know, I thought so too, but don't hate until you try them. Before we left, my friend tried to win me a Shadow plushie, but a mix of rigged games and a budget kept him from succeeding. He will be teased about this for all of eternity. We also ran into two other of our friends and hung out with them, but they didn't stay very long and missed out on most of this festivity.

Howloscream

I got to go to Howl-O-Scream!! It's this Halloween themed event they run at Busch Gardens and a few other theme parks. My friend was able to get us tickets :p

After this visit, I can officially say I've been on every coaster in the park!! I finally got to ride Pantheon, which I was EXTREMELY excited for, and it didn't disappoint, definitely my favorite ride in the park. If anyone's particularly interested, I might make a post giving my thoughts on every coaster. I don't want to have a big yapfest about it here.

Unfortunately, we didn't get to actually do any of the haunted houses. I'm not particularly bummed out about it but they would've been nice to go through.

We did see these two cool shows while we were there though! In the first one, the main character was trying to awaken the spirits of his ancestors so he could use their talents to become a star. There was a lot of focus on audience participation. The other show was indoors and was about these skeletons who would dance in people's rooms all night, but this time the girl woke up and they had some fun interaction I think. I ADORED the costume designs for this one, they were all soo good and right up my alley. The actors in both shows were all so talented!! :o

I hope I can go again next year. :3

About School

I started my senior year of high school.. It's kinda scary that it's almost over.. Like what am I supposed to do next?? T-T

My classes for first semester are pretty much nothing. I only do things in musical theater and guitar. Even then, I don't do much in guitar, it's a very easy class for me so far. Theater will be stressful though; we're doing a fairly ambitious show and don't have a lot of time for it. My other classes are kinda just hangout and chill. However, I am taking two college classes in second semester, which I'm worried about, but if I can I lock in I can take it.

I joined the theater team (independent from musical theater), so I've been staying after school a lot to help out. I've been working on tech stuff :) The team is different than the musicals, so I'm a little nervous about performance, but I'm sure it'll turn out fine.

Some of my teachers are trying to get me to join scholastic bowl. I'm honestly not sure I really want to, but I'll try it at least. Wish me luck!

Mention of Hoco

While we're on the topic of school, Homecoming week is that weird one where it's in both September and October. Since the actual Homecoming Day is in October, I won't talk about it much here, but I wanted to at least bring it up because it felt weird not to. You'll find out all about it during the October blog :3

Noteworthy Creations

I made a pretty solid amount of kandi this month!! I'm not gonna list out everything, that'll be a really huge pain, so I'll just show you the pictures. Unfortunately I couldn't get a picture of everything, but I hope this will suffice :)

A picture with lots of kandi. From left to right, top to bottom: A tie with diagonal stripes in black, orange, purple, and green; a peyote cuff in the same colors as before; an x-base cuff in the same colors as before; 5 stars, 2 purple, 2 orange, 1 green; a peyote cuff with black and a translucent rainbow; a black bat with blue wings; a black bat with orange wings; and finally, a white bat with pink wings.

I decorated one of my bags to make it way cooler. :3 I still have more plans for it, such as getting more pins, adding star studs, and maybe putting on more safety pins, but I'm pretty happy with it so far.

A red plaid bag. There's spikes lining the top, some studs across the front, a small cat keychain, some safety pins, a few stars on the bottom fron panel, and a pin of futaba from persona.

For months now, I've been meaning to make fur leg warmers, and I finally did! The fact I needed them for one of the spirit days got me to finally lock in. However, I kinda hate sewing… so I might've gotten lazy and only sewed one… and just hot glued the other.. It's surprisingly solid, all things considered. I just need to be gentle with it.

Next Month's Plans

So, now that September's over, what about my October plans? To start, my best friend invited me to a concert; It's gonna be my first ever one, I'm so excited!! :3 He made a LOTT of bracelets for it.. I'm probably gonna keep a few and give out as much as I can; giving people bracelets is so fun :)

Me and one of my friends might go apple picking. The details aren't quite ironed out yet, but I'm already getting kinda excited for it. Maybe I can use the apples as an excuse to try some baking… apple desserts are sooooo gooodddd…

There's this haunted barn somewhere nearby that I want ot try working at. I don't have the information, so I'm not sure it'll actually happen, but I'm hoping to. Wish me luck.

I suppose this one might count as a November plan instead of an October one, but Nekocon is immediately after Halloween, so I'll need to spend the month preparing. I'm counting the preparations in my plans. For the first day, I'm gonna go as Futaba Sakura. I cosplayed her when I went to ComicCon last June, but the costume could really use some work. I'm hoping to improve it and make it look super cool! >o< On the second day, I'll be Miku, to match with the friends I'm going with! They're gonna be Rin and Len. I don't actually own a Miku costume and will be borrowing from my friend, so I think some (obviously non-permanent) alterations will have to be made both for personal stylization and a better fit. I'm really excited!!!

We can't talk about October without bringing up Halloween. I'm hoping to put up some decorations and make a lot of themed kandi. I'm thinking about doing some other crafts too, but it'll definitely be mostly bats, which I showcase all year long, so does it really count? Next time I go to the store, I'm gonna try to get some pumpkins to carve too; I've never done that one before. If you have any other ideas of things to do in the spirit of Halloween, let me know! On the actual day of, me and my best friend are gonna go Trick-or-Treating as the Demo Lovers. If his parents allow, we're gonna have a sleepover that night too. Halloween is pretty much the only holiday I care about, so I'm really really looking forward to it!! >o<

This was pretty hard to write, to be honest. I kinda had to write it all down at the end of the month, so I was really struggling with the earlier bits. I'm very proud of myself for getting this done though. I hope you all enjoyed it, and see you at the end of October! :D
