Fall festivities

Yesterday was Fall Festival day. Basically it’s just the perfect excuse for most people to wear flannel and pretend like they all know each other. My shop is right in the middle of it all, so of course, we were swarmed. Constant foot traffic. Constant chaos. People were asking questions I didn’t know humans were capable of forming. 

The day started off with my first client, who was…let’s say “unhinged”. You know when someone’s energy is just off?? Yeah that. Very much the kind of weird that would make you want to fake a power outage just to make them to leave. 

But after that it actually turned into a great day! Everyone was buzzing, the weather was perfect, and somehow I managed not to commit a single crime despite being shoulder to shoulder with humanity all day. Small victories. 

By the end of it all I was exhausted, slightly feral, and covered in a fine mist of other peoples festival energy—but honestly 10/10 day! Will absolutely do it again..after I sleep for a week..

Something about it felt good. Like I actually showed up for the day.
