I did this a couple years ago and thought it would be fun to do it again and compare my answers. My original answers will be in regular text, the new answers will be in italics.
1: when you have cereal, do you have more milk than cereal or more cereal than milk?
- I try to have roughly the same amount; I don't like being stuck with a bunch of milk at the end
- I actually don't eat cereal anymore; I became lactose intolerant lol. Tried it with almond milk but it just didn't hit the same so I gave it up. I eat waffles with peanut butter for breakfast now.
2: do you like the feeling of cold air on your cheeks on a winter day?
- Yes, but it makes my eyes water lol
- Still yes, it still makes my eyes water though. But I like the feeling on my cheeks and forehead, even when it makes my skin a bit dry.
3: what random objects do you use to bookmark your books?
- Scrap paper, candy wrappers, chapsticks, hairties/pins
- Scrap paper, post-it notes, ribbon, piece of wire, anything nearby
4: how do you take your coffee/tea?
- Warm or iced tea (if warm, black tea with some honey -- if iced, mint tea)
- Pretty much the same, except I love warm black tea with a splash of cream and sugar. I've also discovered putting a bit of cocoa powder and sugar in mint tea to make mint hot chocolate. Iced mint is still top tier, but also iced peach tea. I don't drink coffee because it upsets my stomach and the caffeine makes my heart race.
5: are you self-conscious of your smile?
- Not really! :) my laugh is a different story though lol
- Yes.
6: do you keep plants?
- Nope, never had any place to put them where they'd get enough sun
- Still no good place to put them and I also have a cat now who likes to mess with things.
7: do you name your plants?
- If I had any I probably would
- Same.
8: what artistic medium do you use to express your feelings?
- Pretty much anything -- paint, pencil, makeup, hair, clothes, random crafts, crochet and also creative writing
- Same, with the addition of jewelry and I've gotten better at painting. I've also taken up ASMR.
9: do you like singing/humming to yourself?
- Yes!
- Yes, but not in front of other people lol
10: do you sleep on your back, side, or stomach?
- I toss and turn between my left and right sides until I fall asleep. Then I usually wake up in the most twisted abomination of a position and idk how I even got like that
- I don't really have a room or proper bed anymore so now I sleep on a reclining couch. It's better for me anyway as laying flat messes with my stomach. I am still a side-sleeper though.
11: what’s an inner joke you have with your friends?
- "Shrimp" and "boas"
- The shrimp and boa jokes are still running, with the addition of "minty fresh" and "blind".
12: what’s your favorite planet?
- Idk I've never given much thought to planets or outer space in general
- I still don't really care about space. IMO we should be focused on fixing our own planet's issues before wasting billions upon billions of dollars on space exploration. Apparently they discovered evidence of PAST life on mars -- who gives a fuck, did we solve world hunger yet?
13: what’s something that made you smile today?
- A scene from the X-files
- My SIL gave me a new throw blanket and my cat immediately stole it and started making biscuits on it. That made me smile.
14: if you were to live with your best friend in an old flat in a big city, what would it look like?
- Probably full of plants, my best friend has tons of plants and is into the cottagecore aesthetic... my room would be a stark goth contrast LOL
- Same tbh, my bestie's room is being slowly taken over by plants. I'm less modern goth now though and more into a weird cross between goth and hippie. Whimsigoth? Idk. I like what I like, and I don't like to categorize it. If I like it I like it, if I don't I don't. It's whatever. Bottom line, I'd love the plants too and grow my own herbs for remedies and shit.
15: go google a weird space fact and tell us what it is!
- Tbh it's 5:25 AM and I'm lazy so I didn't google anything
- Yeah no, I still don't gaf about space.
16: what’s your favorite pasta dish?
- Not a huge fan of pasta but I do sometimes like pasta with alfredo sauce and mushrooms
- Both tomato sauce and alfredo sauce bother my stomach now, so I just eat pasta with some olive oil and Italian seasonings. I was never a big pasta fan anyway. I still love mushrooms though.
17: what color do you really want to dye your hair?
- I'd love to dye it bright red, I'm talking Danger Days-era Gerard Way style
- I usually dye it black, but I've been considering going strawberry blonde lately. I'd still love to have red hair, but I don't think it would look good on me and I'm mature enough to admit that now LMAO
18: tell us about something dumb/funny you did that has since gone down in history between you and your friends and is always brought up.
- Apparently I was dumb and missed this question the first time around. Anyways, one time I misspelled "what happened?!" as "what bappen?!" and now the incident is referred to as "The Bappening".
19: do you keep a journal? what do you write/draw/ in it?
- On and off; I've started so many but never remember to write in them
- Yes and no. I keep a documented record of certain events and my thoughts on them for other reasons, but it's not really a diary. It's more like evidence.
20: what’s your favorite eye color?
- Blue or green
- Same, but at the end of the day I find it really doesn't matter. I've been attracted to people with all different eye colors.
21: talk about your favorite bag, the one that’s been to hell and back with you and that you love to pieces.
- I don't really go many places, but the bag I've used the longest is this purse that says "Alaska" on it in cursive. My neighbor gave it to me when she got back from traveling.
- For the past couple years I had to retire the Alaska purse bc it was too small to hold all my stuff, and as my health got worse I needed to carry more with me. Instead I carried around this huge canvas messenger bag that I put some pins on. Now I use both; the Alaska bag for quick trips/errands and the tote for longer trips.
22: are you a morning person?
- Heck no, most days I'm awake till 7 AM and don't rise from the veil of slumber again until a stiff 4 PM
- My sleep schedule is off-and-on fucked up, but I do prefer the morning now, and I'm happiest when I'm on a schedule of waking up around 10 AM and going to bed around 1 AM.
23: what’s your favorite thing to do on lazy days where you have 0 obligations?
- Sit on the couch on my phone or draw or play video games
- Pretty much the same, or I'll do one of my hobbies or film some ASMR.
24: is there someone out there you would trust with every single one of your secrets?
- Probably my best friend but also maybe my crush? IDK he seems like someone who would keep a secret.
- Hell no. My bestie knows a lot of them, but not all. My "crush" isn't even in the picture anymore. I've seen and heard enough to know that nobody is 100% trustworthy. The only person who knew pretty much all of my secrets was my mom, and she died last year.
25: what’s the weirdest place you’ve ever broken into?
- I've never broken into anywhere lol
- Same, tf do you think I am, a delinquent?
26: what are the shoes you’ve had for forever and wear with every single outfit?
- I have a beat up pair of vans that I've worn for like 5 years all year round
- The Vans were regrettably retired as they don't fit anymore. I have a pair of sneakers from Temu that are actually THE most comfortable shoes I've ever worn, and they've lasted me about 5 years so far. Still going strong. Will probably get a few more pairs to stash away in case they stop selling them.
27: what’s your favorite bubblegum flavor?
- I've only had the standard bubblegum flavor
- Don't really like bubblegum tbh, mint gum all the way
28: sunrise or sunset?
- Sunset
- Sunsets make me sad now. But I'm usually not awake early enough to see the sunrise, so I guess still sunsets for now.
29: what’s something really cute that one of your friends does and is totally endearing?
- When she rants about a topic that she's really passionate about and when she finishes talking she just concludes with "mhm!" and a cute little head nod
- She still does this. And it's still adorable.
30: think of it: have you ever been truly scared?
- Absolutely -- about 3 years ago I regularly had "unusual experiences" -- I won't say paranormal, because I don't believe in ghosts in that definition. But the worst incident was when I was alone downstairs after everyone else had gone to sleep. Our living room couch sits against a wall that has a "passthrough" or window that leads into the kitchen. I heard footsteps in the kitchen behind me, then felt a "hand" on the back of my head, pushing my head forward and down until my chin hit my chest. I jumped off the couch, ripped my headphones off, and of course there was no one there. Still shakes me up to this day.
- Oh, you sweet summer child. I don't have paranormal experiences anymore, but real life is much scarier. I live with a psychologically abusive parent and he gets worse as time goes on -- I've been scared for my life on multiple occasions. You don't truly know fear until you experience something like that.
31: what is your opinion of socks? do you like wearing weird socks? do you sleep with socks? do you confine yourself to white sock hell? really, just talk about socks.
- I'm indifferent about them; my feet are always cold so I guess I like to wear them. If I'm already wearing them then sure, I'll sleep in them. I usually wear whatever color socks are available; I'm not picky. They're just socks.
- I am in fact VERY picky about my socks; not sure why I said I wasn't lmao. They can't be too thick or too thin, and they have to be soft but not "fuzzy", and the seam has to be ABOVE my toes, not under. I do sleep with them on bc my feet are always cold as fuck.
32: tell us a story of something that happened to you after 3AM when you were with friends
- I've never been with friends that late at night
- After a fight with the aforementioned parent, I left and stayed the night at a friend's house. We were up until like 4 AM just talking about what happened and what we should do next. My mom died the next day.
33: what’s your fave pastry?
- I don't really eat pastries but I guess donuts? That counts as a pastry, right?
- Still not sure what qualifies as a pastry, but I like croissants and scones.
34: tell us about the stuffed animal you kept as a kid. what is it called? what does it look like? do you still keep it?
- I had a stuffed lamb from that old show "lambchop" -- idk I never watched the show because it was weird. It looked more like a lamb puppet with button eyes and a little red tongue. But I loved that thing, slept with it every night and yes I still have it
- Yup, and still have it.
35: do you like stationary and pretty pens and so on? do you use them often?
- I love fountain pens, they feel fancy. I also love heavy pens that I can really feel the weight in my hand
- I still love them. My mom was an avid collector and user of fountain pens (which the aforementioned parent mocked her for). I inherited her collection and I intend to use them as much as possible.
36: which band’s sound would fit your mood right now?
- "Can we kiss forever" by Kina
- The question was band, not song, dumbass. Dream Theater.
37: do you like keeping your room messy or clean?
- I don't really "like" it, but my room is usually messy because I'm hardly ever in there
- Desperate circumstances had led to my SIL living with us (before her and my brother were married), and I gave up my room to her. Now it's kind of a mess and a lot of their stuff is still in there, so I don't really have a room. I'm working on getting it set up for me to use again though. They still live with us but have their own room together.
38: tell us about your pet peeves?
- Hypocrisy, chewing gum loudly and when anyone says "water" the Philly accented way
- People.
39: what color do you wear the most?
- Black or whatever else is available
- Same.
40: think of a piece of jewelry you own: what’s it’s story? does it have any meaning to you?
- I have lots of jewelry but I can't think of a piece with a specific meaning
- I have a real gold cross that my mom gave me years and years ago. Obviously now that she's no longer here it has much more meaning to me. I also have the sterling silver cross and chain that she was wearing on the day she died; I wear it every day now.
41: what’s the last book you remember really, really loving?
- The "Series of Unfortunate Fairytales" series by Chanda Hahn
- Divergent.
42: do you have a favorite coffee shop? describe it!
- No, plus I don't drink coffee
- Same.
43: who was the last person you gazed at the stars with?
- I haven't
- My mom.
44: when was the last time you remember feeling completely serene and at peace with everything?
- In a really good dream
- Usually after a good cry. It feels so intensely hopeless in the moment, but afterward it feels tons lighter, like realizing nothing really matters very much in the grand scheme of time.
45: do you trust your instincts a lot?
- Yes; they're usually right
- YES, THEY'RE USUALLY RIGHT. Had to put emphasis on that because DAMN if it hasn't been true these last couple years.
46: tell us the worst pun you can think of.
- When my friend was sad, I tried telling her ten different puns to cheer her up... but no pun in ten did.
- Why did the thief get caught robbing an art gallery? Because he didn't have the Monet to buy Degas to make the Van Gogh.
47: what food do you think should be banned from the universe?
- Dairy, because I'm lactose intolerant and also a spiteful little bitch
- Artificial dyes. Seed oils. GMOs. Artificial sweeteners. Any unnecessary chemicals and shit that causes cancer and diseases.
48: what was your biggest fear as a kid? is it the same today?
- The dark, and being alone. It's not the same now but I do still get scared of the dark specifically when the power goes out and everything is quiet. My biggest fears now are anesthesia awareness, sleep paralysis, and anything going wrong with my brain/memory
- Being murdered on a bus for no reason. Being driven legitimately crazy by aforementioned parent. Dying before I'm able to tell my story. Being killed for my beliefs. Becoming paralyzed/comatose but consciously aware of it, unable to speak or move. Being left alone by the people I depend on. The occasional thought that I could just solve all my problems by ending it. The idea of being left behind during the Rapture.
49: do you like buying CDs and records? what was the last one you bought?
- I don't buy them
- I still don't buy them.
50: what’s an odd thing you collect?
- Cool bottles, train passes from my mom's coworker and also insect wings if I find them outside
- Also bottle caps and random trinkets. I love finding random tiny shit on the ground, it's like an adventure.
51: think of a person. what song do you associate with them?
- My crush... "Rosalina's Observatory" from Super Mario Galaxy. He always plays it for me on piano and I love it
- Ew girl, cringe. Anyways, the aforementioned parent and "Call Me When You're Sober" by Evanescence (he's not an alcoholic, I just love the general "fuck you" energy of the song).
52: what are your favorite memes of the year so far?
- Pretty much any funny tiktok memes
- Same. I particularly like the one people have been doing where they face away from the camera, drop some harsh truth and then whip around and go "WHO SAID THAT?!"
53: have you ever watched the rocky horror picture show? heathers? beetlejuice? pulp fiction? what do you think of them?
- Only one I've seen is Beetlejuice -- it's a classic. Lydia OG goth queen.
- Still like Beetlejuice. I've had the displeasure of seeing a few clips from rocky horror picture show... ew, just ew.
54: who’s the last person you saw with a true look of sadness on their face?
- My best friend... she has issues with her dad all the time; he's an abusive buttwipe
- Also my bestie... her boyfriend broke up with her. Her parents are divorced now and they have a restraining order against her father. Hers and mine are two of a kind, I'm sure they'd get along great with each other.
55: what’s the most dramatic thing you’ve ever done to prove a point?
- I talked to my dad the same way he talked to me in a certain scenario. He didn't like it. The issue wasn't brought up again.
- Lots of things at this point. Too many to remember them all lol. ^^That trick wouldn't work for me now btw, he's lacking enough in self-awareness that he doesn't see the two as comparable. When he does it it's acceptable, when I do it it's completely different and I'm "twisted".
56: what are some things you find endearing in people?
- When a person genuinely expresses interest in your interests and listens to you ramble about them lol, also if they aren't afraid to show their emotions around you.
- When someone unconsciously mirrors what you're doing, like if you lean on your elbow and then they do it right afterward. I find it cute that they're involuntarily in sync with you in a way. Also when they apologize after bumping into/hitting an object.
57: go listen to bohemian rhapsody. how did it make you feel? did you dramatically reenact the lyrics?
- Yes and yes
- Eh. Used to be a bigger Queen fan.
58: who’s the wine mom and who’s the vodka aunt in your group of friends? why?

- Same, haven't read them in a while though.

- Still don't like poetry. And his poem was lame tbh.
61: what’s the stupidest gift you’ve ever given? the stupidest one you’ve ever received?
- Stupidest gift I've given: a small microfiber glasses cloth that my brother had been looking for for months, in a HUGE box. Stupidest gift received: a bath towel from my grandma. It's the thought that counts...
- Haven't achieved giving a stupider gift yet, but I received 2 throw pillow covers from my SIL for Christmas one year. I don't own any throw pillows. Nobody in this house owns any throw pillows. I'm not going out and buying throw pillows just to use the scratchy covers you gave me.
62: do you drink juice in the morning? which kind?

- Sometimes; I keep a notebook and also put stuff in my phone notes
- Yes and no. Depends on the thing.
73: what are some of your worst habits?
- Oh God this is so gross... but I have like, chronically dry lips and when I'm nervous or fidgety I pick at the dead skin until my lips bleed... yeah I know, I just gagged re-reading this
- Procrastinating. Skin picking is still a thing but way less severe. Found out I wasn't crazy and it's actually a form of self-harm. I've found a good lip balm that works for me now and it's not much of an issue anymore as long as I'm disciplined.
74: describe a good friend of yours without using their name or gendered pronouns.
- Teacher, hamster, VERY near-sighted. Very sweet and kind but also dumb naive sometimes. Cares too much about people, is into the cottagecore aesthetic, has tons of plants. Wants to be thicc but is actually a stick.
- Kind, empathetic, patient to a fault. Still cares too much about people and they take advantage. People pleaser. Funny as hell, still near-sighted. Can't spell worth a damn. Gotten smarter but is very sensitive. Loves teaching and interacting with the kids. Still has a shit ton of plants. Love 'em to bits.
75: tell us about your pets!
- I have a 5-year-old cat named Kit! (Yes that's a pun) We got her from a neighbor who found her on the road outside a winery; she was only 4 weeks old and could sit in your hand :) I'm her favorite human and she doesn't play much but follows me around everywhere
- Kit is 10 now. She still follows me around everywhere and sleeps at my feet every night. She loves toys with bells in them. Catnip has no effect on her. She misbehaves a lot and loves to scratch on wooden furniture x.x
76: is there anything you should be doing right now but aren’t?

- Probably the same tbh, otherwise I don't really pay a lot of attention to album arts.
84: are you planning on getting tattoos? which ones?
- Probably not
- Yes. A memorial tattoo for my mom. She wanted a phoenix tattoo before she died as part of her bucket list, but never got the chance to get it. Me, my brother, and my SIL are all going to get a feather from that phoenix tattooed on us. Unsure if the aforementioned parent will join us but I don't really care.

- I usually wear my hair down, but occasionally I'll do a messy updo with some little fringe pieces left out

94: who was the last person you know to have a birthday?
- An old friend from an old youth group I don't really talk to anymore
- My SIL, her birthday is 9/11. Yes, that's actually her birthday.

- It just ended but probably just chilling and maybe sitting out on the porch crocheting, maybe give one of my friends a call

I got a chuckle out of some of these.

This might be fun for me to do, but I know that would be a bad idea. Maybe it's a male perspective or how men face the world, but I find that every weakness and every slip of
the tongue will be used against me somewhere down the line, and there is little to no empathy for men if someone disagrees with them or thinks they're a Nazi. Then again, I guess the same can be said for white women on buses. An an aside, I noticed a black guy on YT the other day posting comments in videos about Iryna Zarutska over and over saying "nobody cares, haha". Sick.
