Night after the PTV concert, and I genuinely feel like it was one of my favorite nights of my life.
It was both exciting and surreal; my heart definitely felt like it was going to jump out of my chest on numerous occasions. But also just being there with so many of my super cool friends made it so fun. It's tough being surrounded by absolute hotties, my god!!!
The openers were also amazing: The Crawlers, Hot Mulligan, and CAVETOWN. The Crawlers sounded really cool, and I loved the lead singer's voice; it gave me severe butterflies. If the lights were any brighter, my face would've been a deep shade of pink.
Hot Mulligan will be one of my top artists this week because they were sooooo good. I absolutely love concerts, but being in a crowd with the flashing lights and the loud instruments is one of my favorite places to be. Hot Mulligan has great performers all-round but their drummer was insane (I might be biased). With every song I listen to, I follow the drums, but with this band I seriously could not help listen to every snare and hi-hat rudiment, and the DOUBLE BASS! It was amazing.
Seeing Cavetown live is something 10-year-old me would never believe, and it was everything I would imagine it would be. People were crying everywhere I looked, and I couldn't control it either. 'Boys Will Be Bugs' was so liberating to sing every word of, and I SCREAMED. WE screamed.
Pierce the Veil was also amazing, but I expected that. However, it did suck sniffing the armpit and licking the WOOL SWEATER of a 7-foot hozier doppelganer in front of me. This same person also blocked my way to the pit and to my friends, but oh well. I enjoyed laughing together being laughed at for the second half of PTV's performance. 9/10 experience. :>
