Personally, I get them from shows and movies I watch as well as just videos and books.
For example, a few weeks ago I was watching a video regarding a Minecraft compilation of images by an (inactive) YouTube channel named "1heaven" and their Minecraft image slideshow video that was titled with a simple question mark that was just a "?" and, to be honest, it was very interesting to me and it reminded me of the Backrooms Community.
And then I remembered that I had started a Alpha/Beta-themed Minecraft Backrooms world back in early 2023 and I hadn't worked on it since roughly he mid part of late 2024 (and it was and has gotten even more massive now within 2 weeks.)
So I began working on that, and then I watched a Backrooms YouTuber called "Kauffman" who does Kane Pixels'-esque Backrooms video but without any corporation/company and no monsters or 1990s stuff. It's all 2002 to 2019-era stuff.
But in the Backrooms, there's no other humans.
Sometimes its a early 2000's digital camera, and then sometimes its a just-released iPhone camera, and then its a 2019 Android/iPhone camera on one of his latest Backrooms uploads.
Anyway, the point is:
Watch something that usually interests you or has interested you in the past, and try and "mix" it with your own ideas or other things to the point it's basically "original via inspiration" and a "original inspiration-frankenstein."
Another thing I'd recommend is the very real psychology thing where if you turn ALL your electronics off, and have no notebook in front of you, just sit alone with your thoughts. It could be harmful, it could be uncomfortable, and it could be interesting what your brain starts thinking after this sensory deprivation of "online super sensory stimulation."
However, personally, this is actually the method that gives me the MOST ideas. I'll just sit for 5-10 minutes, electronics all turned off and silenced, and write down the ideas when I'm done with the silent brainstorming session.
I don't know if these ideas will help, but I hope they do!
Have a great day!
(Sorry for the rambling.)
Thank you very much for the tips, I will try to do mainly what you said about electronics :D
