Incorrect, dogs dont have a complex concept of human language, therefore they'd be unable to understand any electoral news or debates. They would not even know the names of those running. It would be entirely random, or vibes based day-of. Maybe there would be more informed votes in small-town elections, where the local dogs could genuinely meet the candidates and form a preference based on their interactions- far more goes into a dog liking you than *just* treats, treats mean nothing if you're also high-strung, agressive, violent, or too controlling of them. But in presidential elections or elections for prime minister, it would have a lot more random selection based on whatever the dog feels in that moment- whichever name they point to or, idk, take a treat off a paper with the cabdidates name on it. And honestly I think a dogs intuition is what this world needs right now.
PPPFFF lmaoo personally though i dont get why EVERYBODY thinks soukoku is canon they literally want to strangle each other to death (i mean dazai canonically slashed chuuya's tires T0T' ) but yeah most things like that wouldnt make sense if you werent in the fandom oof
