Ok SO some of these are general band pieces, some are horn solos/duets/whatevers and some aren't horn pieces by original composition but are banger on horn lol
1. Devil's Waltz by Steven Verhelst
I enjoy the version on YouTube plaid by Schippers and Maschkowski. This is a bass trombone/ trombone duet but for my senior year Solo/Ens me and my buddy did this as a french horn duet and it was BANGER I love this piece so much. Every time I pick up my horn these days I play it.
2. Gabriels Oboe- New York Staff Band
I like NY Staff Bands arrangement and recording most but it was originally part of a film score I believed. I played this in high school because we had a university trumpet feature and he wanted to do this. I'm now learning the solo on both clarinet and french horn :)
3. Caravan- Duke Ellington, London Horn Sound
This is so hype.
4. Symphony No.5 in E-Minor Op.64 TH: II - Tchaikovsky
Usually just looking up Tchaikovsky Symphony 5 horn solo will get you to what I'm talking about here. I just find this to be such a clean and wonderful horn solo.
5. Vigils Keep - Julie Giroux
This was a full band piece, there is a bit of a special horn solo thingy going on that I enjoy but that's not why I put this here, I put this here because I love the song as a whole. If you like this also check out One Life Beautiful also by Julie Giroux.
