just to share the last albums i listened to and for which i think everyone should give at least a little listen - i am listening to a lot of metal this days so it will show but maybe next blog is going to be more varied in genres
i'm using RYM to check the genre of the albums i'm talking about since i do not trust my own perception, genre is so flexible anyway but i just talk about how the albums feels to me for the rest
Linkin Park - Hybrid Theory

Nu Metal, 2000
The first album of Linkin Park which makes me so nostalgic, maybe that's why i like it even tho i know it's not my favorite genre but i remember my brother listening to 'In the end' on weekends with the music video on the television so the album just takes me back to that time
Sepultura - Chaos A.D.
(
on Deezer
)
Groove Metal, 1993
Got this album recommended by an ex-coworker and omg he has great tastes, i don't really know how to describe how Sepultura sounds like so you'll have to give it a listen to know but the political lyrics and tribal instrumental makes this album so good i love it
Gojira - Terra Incognita
(
on Deezer
)
Death Metal | Progressive Metal, 2001
i reaaaaally like this album it sounds so special to me, Gojira has this way of making heavy sounds that still somehow sounds almost mystical or fantasy like and it just sounds so good, especially on this first album where the heavy stuff is cut short by multiple interludes or less heavy sounds that makes the album so great
Utsu-P - Greatest Shits
(
on Youtube
)
Alternative Metal | Melodic Metalcore, 2018
Literally, how do you make Vocaloid sounds like that? i have no idea but this compilation is so good, especially 'Corona' which is my favorite but between the absolutely cool guitar riffs of this guy, you then have a scream from a Vocaloid and the genre is just so cool you don't get to hear that often
Gojira - Magma
(
on Deezer
)
Progressive Metal | Groove Metal, 2016
A much cleaner sound to Gojira compared to Terra Incognita but you can still feel the same atmosphere, this album contains so many good songs such as 'Silvera', 'Stranded' or 'Only Pain', the guitar riffs on this album too are just way to good and i just listen to this album A LOT
The Hives - Barely Legal
(
on Deezer
)
Garage Punk | Garage Rock Revival, 1997
Not what i usually listen to but it was a good album so i wanted to include it in this list, it is really fun and just put you in a good mood
Radiohead - OK Computer
(
on Deezer
)
Alt Rock | Art Rock, 1997
Everyone has listen to this album by now but i still wanted to talk about it, the vibe of this album is i think unbeatable, i just haven't listen to anything that makes this sad/lonely vibe this good and relatable and it is just filled with great songs from start to end, i listen to it VERY often
don't hesitate to give your opinion or recs if you want to!

I used to listen to that Gojira album a lot in high school and for some reason the funny moon face on it always made me laugh so much, to the point I'd go look at it when my depression was bad.
I love Utsu-P tbh, one of my fav songs is The Beautiful Puke so I'll recommend that one.
Also not really in the same genre but Lemon Demon's Spirit Phone album has really good spoopy vibes because its all about ghosts and gothic stuff.
Nightbringers by the Black Dahlia Murder and The Lines by Beartooth are kinda fun ones, if i try to stay in the same sorta genres \(^-^)/
i actually wanted to listen to Utsu-P more so i will check out what you said and same for the black dahlia murder it's been on my list for a long time now~

Man Gojira are so good and they crush it live. Heavy shit :D
The last few albums I listened to most were Dear Desolation by Thy Art is Murder and I feel the everblack festering within me by Lorna Shore (dumb title but great album).
If you look Sepultura and are into that blend of tribal music with heavy influences you should definitly check out Alien Weaponry btw
