Sorry to the younger folks, but I am not gonna be your friend.

I'm so sorry to the teens I've declined (and probably will decline in the future) for a friend request. I promise I'm not being rude but it's for the good of both of us. Gonna get a little personal but I have had quite a few run-ins with unsavory adults who did not have my best interests in mind when I was growing up on Tumblr and Twitter. It's made me wanna be very careful with who I interact with not only so I don't get hurt again but to also prevent hurting someone else. :(

It's to the point I don't really want to be around 18 yr olds, even if they are considered legal adults. It's just too much of a gap for my liking. One day you'll get older and understand. 

Sorry if this was kinda preachy but every time I get a friend request from a teenager it makes me panic a little cause of what I went through.

I do appreciate the requests though.
