My first camera: panasonic dmc ls-60 (2007) and her current state.

This was my first actual camera that wasn't a cheap phone or a nintendo DSi, i got it for 6€ on a second hand site, this basically became my sweetheart, carried her everywhere, took so many photos, unfortunately at one point it decided to malfunction, and i was unable to fix it right up, so decided to make a few mods, before it became unusable, so i made it into a decor piece, here is her current state:

It technically should work as a clock, all be it a bit  messy as u have to take apart the body to change the time, but haven't tested it yet, I hope to be ablle to put the electronics to use at some point, i plan to make a wooden case for it if i manage to get it to work.

the camera was great, she had a quick autofocus and the images were sharp and had lovely color rendering, all that made up for her poor condition in dark enviroments, no photo came out good when there wasn't at least one strong light source, it was really compact and fit easily in my pocket, it kind of ate through batteries, needing to change them bimonthly if i remember correctly.

some photos i took with her while she was still alive:

I think if the camera I have now breaks and I have to replace it, I would still keep it, lol

yep, you kinda get attached to stuff after some time, plus having something that doesn't work allows you to experiment in ways you wouldn't try with something that's working for fear of breaking it

Turning it into a clock is such a good idea, it looks awesome. It's always cool to repurpose something that doesn't work anymore when one is so attached to it.

agreed!
way better than throwing them out, plus i can put stuff in the now empty wristwatch, and have a weird conversation starter.
