I'm trying to write a positional paper, and of course, that means needing references to back my claims. But, you see, I'm not from the US. I'm from a middle-income country, which means finding ANY statistics for anything other than poverty, homelessness, and drug use, is nearly impossible. What sucks even MORE is when I decide, you know what, why not use worldwide statistics? Only to look it up and only find articles and studies ONLY REFERENCING US POPULATIONS. I found an article that states "US & Worldwide," and, foolishly, clicked, thinking that, of course! This has to have some form of statistic that isn't based solely on US research, right?
right?????
Guess fucking what. Every single statistic I found, every single percentage, was on US citizens or based in the US. Cause fuck anyone who isn't American, I guess.

US loves making statistics for some reason. They have a statistic for literally everything. I hope you can find the statistic you need for your country. Best of luck!
it's always the US! I'm glad that they're thorough and they have plenty of references, but sometimes it's just every search result. This isn't just the fault of the US as some countries seem to not care at all about studies or surveys?? Or if they do, they keep it private or behind a paywall or a sign-in to likely collect your data :')
